You take patterns that I would normally pass over and make them appear so easy and your videos actually help me learn patterns I never would’ve bothered with! Thank you.

"This is as hard as it's gonna get!" At first, I believed you. Then I realized the real hard part was putting my hook down! 😹 What a fun and addictive pattern, already onto the second cake! Had a knitted shawl UFO hanging around for months, so I decided to crochet it apart and begin a blanket with this pattern.
I'm using a 3 weight yarn (Lion Brand Mandala in colour wave Groot) and a 6.5mm hook because I love a flowy fabric, and I'm so obsessed! The colours and this pattern really got me reliving that 90's nostalgia, and I can't wait to finish my blanket. Thanks for inspiring me to start this up 💕💖

you are right! that is the hardest part, I'm going to use this pattern to bust my stash of white yarn, I have just way too much ( I used to get commissions to make American Flag blankets) so I have just so much white because I was very picky about the white yarn I used for the flag , so I went nuts buying it out a couple months in a row just to make sure I always had the white I needed haha, I don't make those flags anymore now , now I have like 20 skeins of frigging white hahaha

What a gorgeous pattern. It looks like a real yarn eater though, getting such thick fabric from a single strand of medium yarn. Guess I'll have to go yarn shopping. Oh... no... the humanity.

Almost finished a baby blanket in this pattern! Sized it so there are 4 cables across, and continuing until it is square before I do the border. Used caron blossom cakes in a light neutral. Super squishy! Love your tutorials ❤

I made once a cardigan with a almost simular pattern. It is truly beautiful, I really like braided stiches. I have an unfineshed project with braided stitches, but I think I have to unravel. You really inspire to take up my projects. Nothing scetchy to me.

This pattern is great. I think I may try to make a sweater for my son who lives in Switzerland. I'll see him at Christmas. Wonder if that will give me enough time to figure it out and if it will actually be wearable. I started teaching myself to crochet last October through RUclips. Your videos have really inspired me to go for it! Wish me luck.

Very pretty! I LOVE textural stitch patterns! I've only worked cables in a few pieces but, as you say, they are really very easy once you get the repeat patterns down. Guess I have another contender for the lap robe I want to make later this year. 😮 This would also make a gorgeous stole! Thank you for another high quality tutorial!!! No, it wasn't garbled! You (like many of us) misname a stitch once in awhile. But if we've been paying attention, we know & move right along. You're human and allowed to make mistakes! When you catch it while also 1) keeping your work within camera range, 2) in focus & still make the correct stitch - you apologize! Me, if I think the wrong stitch, I do the wrong stitch!!! You rock lady! 😊

This looks really good and really easy, thanks for the video! 😊
    I've got a question though: I don't really get how this works on a base of 45+3 chains, if it's: first stitch (1hdc) - waffle(14) - cable(16)- waffle (14) - cable(16) - waffle (14)...?
My brain says it should be 30 (waffle+cable) + 17 (last waffle+very first stitch+turning chain)??
I'm sorry, I've probably missed something, but I would really appreciate if someone could help me out here. 😊

If I made two crib size baby blankets, joined them just right , threw some sleeves on that baby, I'd have me a nice Aran Fisherman sweater!
I wouldn't even necessarily have to make a crewneck for it, just leave it a boatneck, cuz, you know, fisherman. . . boat. . . .
    You get it, lol!

My husband has been bugging me to make him a heavy blanket but I hate working with chunky yarn. This looks perfect and will use up a lot of my yarn. I’m trying to see a way to use two colors but not sure where to right place would be to change colors. Just because I get bored with one color.

So, I started with a foundation double crochet, count of 135 (45*3). I am one stitch short at the end, where I’d place the hdc. I triple checked to make sure I didn’t miss a stitch along the way. I’m guessing I needed to make 136 to start. Would you agree? Or did I really goof somewhere?

    • @walterwhite5100
      @walterwhite5100 Год назад +2

I hope you figured it out but you should have chained 138.
The multiples are 45 then you add 3 at the end so 45+45+45+3=138.
      Happy crocheting ❤
