More chew, less sip. I was never a fan of the shakes in MREs and would always prefer noodles with butter sauce to another beverage. I'm old fashioned like that.
I just found your video this morning. I enjoyed watching this video. Although, I would have thought there might be an actual meal in this mre. I will be watching more of your videos. Have a good day and be safe.
Coffee with hot chocalate and oatmeal makes a great cold weather pick me up. We always mixed everthing in the mre we got on the fireline, made a better taste and far easier to eat.
The field mocha is a golden oldie of grunt dining...If you make them right they are pretty good either hot or cold....My own recipe for them was pretty good. 🤔
Sorry, but I can't say Minotaur has impressed me so far. Between this and the Shipwreck pack, I find myself hoping these were VERY cheap to buy. ='[.]'=
Get a general feeling of meh looking at this… nothing substantial really except some extra coffee. They should have taken a clue from what guys grabbed from the dfac before they left the wire, throw dinner first strike bars, more cheese and crackers and maybe some meat sticks/sausages. Give them stuff they can eat without having to worry about boiling water.
Stop saying former army Nco, that shit sounds so cringe. Most people don’t say former nco they say Iraq war vet. Civilians don’t give a fuck about that, neither do they know what NCO means. Your already bad ass as is. from a former Marine-
It's hot?! ...might have something to do with the boiling water you just added. If that pack extends from 1 meal to 1 day... I'd still be hungry! Calories don't really equate to food.
@@MREScout Indeed, but at 250g it's worth considering if you're carrying food... Personally, I had a 12t Carrier to carry my multitudes of Jack Rations...
Wonder how many soldiers wish they could save half the hot chocolate , so they can use it with each packet of coffee ? And the chicken stock is probably to make any number of things in a regular mre taste better.
@@davidtucker7219 having been around for the early to late 80s MREs as a young Marine, and then the 2003 to 2010 batch as an Airman, I can definitely confirm that improvements were made! The newest stuff almost makes you want to eat it full time.
@@eddiemclean7011 No debate from me about the improvement over the years about the MRE's from the 80's on up...Served 30 years in the Corps (83-13) so I get you. Taster's Choice freeze dried coffee was ok...But I would use Folgers coffee in a tea bag deal☕️ I would so love to see someone come across a French ration from the early 1980's... Reason why? There are an excellent enhancement for the MRE. I am glad you enjoyed most of the items. Peace, John.

Maybe you could use the ration bar to pound sand!! Seriously though the bar could be broken up and then added to the oatmeal.
"Add to any MRE to be fed for 24 hours." Unless it's the vomlet, then you're doomed.
After seeing your segment of the French ration,
Someone getting this would have to feel cheated.

Thought occurs to me is add an aspect of DIY “military roughly edibles,” especially home-dried/dehydrated food.
Roughly edible... interesting way to put it.
This looks like US$3 of components that probably cost 5x more
Good review. I think I would grade it C- maybe C.
Because it looks like just a bunch of stuff thrown together
Your video quality is always so good, what are you shooting with?
Panasonic lumix g100. Indoors I use a 14mm lens.
Why do they give you toothpaste, but no toothbrush?
How does one get in contact with you, I got a line on pla Chinese rations

man that package is waste of space in your bag but ok anyone is free to pack whatever , i would pack more MRE this is just dunno bag of dissapoitments
No way that’s a B-, closer to a D in my opinion
Is this a cold weather kit?
A light breakfast
The mre is for lunch so where’s dinner
Sad part is these MRE’s are better then the food I had on the carrier

Oatmeal and a granola bar? I really hope the DOD isn't buying these. I also hope viewers of this aren't allowing themselves to be ripped of by this.
This is Minotaur trading company. Not DOD

Agreed. Never liked drinking my calories.

Are those made in somebody's garage?
Well at least the Norwegian survival bar seems more palatable then Norwegian salt candy that just taste of suffering.
That drink does indeed look like windex!

So half of the calories in this add on meal kit is processed sugar...
Ghetto Cappuccino!
I like how you give us the "good" the "bad" and the "ugly"
I appreciate your perspective as a user.
I survived the Chicken Ala King MRE of the 80s. There should be at least a ribbon for that experience.
How about the frankfurter one? "The 4 fingers of Death" described that rather well.
