reads ancient book, tells us what ancient book says, then says people just don’t want to find christ..perhaps we just don’t think there’s any evidence whatsoever that he was devine..and that your ‘faith’ is literally just believing what other men have told you..😊

Nope not at all, your belief is that we all come from nothing, we don’t have any moral absolutes, and that the 20,000+ Manuscripts we have of Jesus “are just someone telling us stuff and we believe in it” but when you see 3 manuscripts dating 300 years after Aristotle, Plato, etc. you believe in it. Come on man please do some research. I love you bro and would love to talk and think consistently, but don’t start doing that please

@@GOD1stykit i don’t negate the fact that the scriptures exist tho? i was brought up christian. Im not saying the texts weren’t written, im saying who they were written by and who ‘inspired’ them are a different thing altogether. I think the lessons and rules within the bible are very useful rules to live by etc. My point is that just because men in that period wrote this down, does not mean that christ was gos, nor sent by him. It appears almost all of
the old testament related to the jewish people of that time and he was an apocalyptic teacher during that period. Proving men wrote texts does not prove god exists. I am agnostic, not an atheist, as i do not have an answer for how to universe came to be, but my answer will not be ‘well there must be a god’ because
i’m unable to answer the question.

@@GOD1stykit i just get sick of preachers just telling the audience ‘jesus died for your sins at calvary, god gave his only begotten son etc’ is if it’s just some fact you have to learn. He died on the cross, like many, and maybe believed he was the son of god, perhaps, stories change depending on the disciple (btw why are there inconsistencies amongst their accounts if they’re inspired by god? if they can get something as simple as the age he died wrong then can’t they be wrong about everything..??)
A better conversation is about the philosophical value of the text, but even then you’re able to come up with similar philosophies without the adage of a being outside of time and space, you can arrive at moral value without a powerful being telling you that murdering is wrong. If you need god to tell you that rape and murder is wrong you’re just a shitty person lmao
