Read some peoples comments making assumptions. So let me clear this up even more. We were NOT PAID to say any of this. If you can’t use your ears to listen to what I said well hopefully you can read. The broker “Hav” from White & White insisted VIP rental give him the car in the condition it was in so he could make his sale to us. VIP said the car was not ready to go out but he insisted. Hav the owner of White & White was our only contact and we paid him. Which means it is White & White responsibility to clean the car and deliver it with safe tires. Remember Hav up charged us $15,000 so he had plenty of money to invest for a few tires and a detail. VIP rentals was not renting to a driver but a broker so it’s not the same as if they gave the car to someone off the street. They essentially rented the car to another rental company. Responsibility ends with the person that rents to the client

Although I'm relatively new to the channel, I think you're in a position where you don't need to explain to the haters what the purpose of the video is. Even if VIP Rent a Car had some fault for the condition of the car, they took their responsibility and did what was necessary to compensate for the inconvenience. So the company owned the cars and did maintenance on them? DDE is saying that the car was going to be fixed up but the broker said I need the car now. When I look at the car it definitely was not maintained for many, many months or even years. Those tires weren't replaced for years so they left it on that car for many rentals. Sounds like BS to me. DDE def got paid

Glad we were able to clear the name of the rental company so they don’t lose their business. It’s important to do good due diligence so hopefully the broker gets a kick in the nuts for what he did.

The adversity that happened during this rally was just amazing. You can't plan for that. And the way everyone handled it and dealing with a foreign country and the way they do things, I feel this Gumball was that much better. Definitely something to remember!

Lol you think the broker wrekced the car? It was evident the car was neglected for a long time and these guys cleaned it up just for this video. Also shows the customer service you get from the company if you aren't famous, as far as the rental company is concerned the broker is another customer and they were the ones who gave him the broken ass car.
I do agree with both sides but in most cases you're not renting a car from them without being there or seeing it so there's no way that if you were at their business and saw that Lambo how it was that you would rent the car. I'd bet the broker said I'll pay extra and fix the issues myself just give me the car cause if that was the only Lambo he could find he would have lost out on a lot of money if he didn't get it.

A lot of people could take a lesson from how Damon and Dave handle things and always make sure the make things right. They didn’t have to take their time to go back to the car rental and ask everyone to take back their negative reviews.

I get it with the broker and all but still…. I’m finding it hard to believe that a “reputable company” let one of their cars go in that condition regardless of the urgency. The rental owner even shows that they repaired, cleaned and states it only took ONE DAY to do so. I think they’re as much to blame. Just my opinion. Most people rent these cars for a day and drive 100km at most. Dubai tyres last for 12 month at best. Also the yearly registration test is so easy to pass.

Yup. Shows what service you'll get from the company if you are a regular guy, bring out all the brand new cars when the famous RUclipsrs come in and give out a garbage broken ass car to the regular guy (the broker in this case).
The broker's clearly gone to them and said "give me a handful of your crappest and cheapest cars possible".
So the cars they gave the broker were cars that were never driven for years or something?
Rental guys arn't stupid, some one comes to them and says i want 10 cars for the Gumball they are going to give them the old tatty cars at the end of their rental life rather than fk up one of their new cars. The Broker did what Brokers do (Stick a massive mark up on a rental) but that damage was old and if you ask me the Rental guy fk'd over the Broker who was expecting road worthy cars.
Why did they have such a neglected car in their fleet the first place? They aren't renting out Nissan Versas at the airport, it's an exotic car that people rent mainly for the experience for a good sum of money.
Because they live in a desert and the sand destroys cars fast. Also if you listen closely to what is said, the car was previously just rented, and the broker demanded/begged he could take it back out right away before maintainance was carried out, and said that it'd be fine cos a bunch of 50+ year olds would be driving them slowly...

Makes me wonder if VIP Rentals "ownership" and the broker are somehow related to the royal family. A lot of high dollar businesses in the Middle East are funded and or granted permission to operate due to family ties, even if distant. What does not make sense is the condition of the tires....no way VIP should have allowed any of their fleet to leave their premises with tires in such rough shape. If something tragic would have happened and the Lambo killed it's occupants due to maintenance neglect, good luck suing anybody for negligence being an outsider. I'm wondering if DDE was "asked" to make this video to help clear up VIP's name??

Its NOT the broker’s responsibility to maintain the cars. To keep them serviced. Clean. To ensure their tired are new. Etc etc.
its the owner, in this case, VIP car rental.

A brokers only job is to BROKER a deal between 2 parties. A middle man who makes money for bringing together 2 parties.
The entirety of the blame for the poor state of the cars is on VIP car rental.

Always had great experience with them( VIP Rentals) from Business trips to Dubai and renting their Audi A3, They treat you as royalty wether its your first time working with them or if you are a returning to them as a customer, as someone who goes to Dubai 2-4 times a year i always work through them when travelling there, great customer service and amazing people who are willing to work on a deal.
doesnt explain why it came with bald tires and dirty engine. still VIP cars problem. they only made this video because they probably got paid to or got their money back.

Those tyres and that neglect of the car didn’t happen from the previous renter! As for saying the broker was told about the state of the car is irrelevant, it’s still their car and they let it out, anything else is just to save their reputation. VIP are huge in Dubai and the negativity could have damaged them and that is the whole point of this video!

That's great to see the air was cleared but I do feel like the rental company should not have released that car to the broker regardless of the broker saying they needed it right now
They should have at least took the tires from one of the 150 other cars they have and it wouldn't even take them an hour

That's crazy that's insane the Lamborghini doesn't even look like the same car. It looks completely different. The actual VIP Car Rental Company really killed it.
Seems like a good bunch of guys running the VIP business. However, they did still send out one of their cars the way they did. They have 150 cars, and sent one out not just sub-par, but disgusting. Either poor time management on rentals, or maybe they somehow missed it, but still should not have happened. I am however glad that they are showing their better side in this video!
Its just damage Control. Broker is just a middle man. He rents what he gets. He asked for cheapests possible cars to rent to make maximum profit. And owner is the one repairing and fixing cars. So either way i would never rent from them.

Lost a lot of respect for you guys. Call them out for giving the broker that garbage ass car, if not the broker that car would've gone to a regular guy. Yeah the broker made a quick buck off you guys, that's another story, but he isn't the person who's responsible for maintaining that car, he just gave you the car the rental company gave him. This video is all the more reason to avoid renting from that company 👍.
