    I’m fairly confident y’all are done planting by now. But before you get to far? Check the lug nuts on your main carry wheels and spacers on the DB. They tote a lot of weight, and are famous for coming loose.

    • @aTrippyFarmer
      @aTrippyFarmer  Год назад +3

      We’ve been keeping an eye on them. We’ve actually already had issues with that main frame area. It will need replaced or fixed somehow…

    • @peteparker7396
      @peteparker7396 Год назад +3

      @@aTrippyFarmer I’ve seen several have those issues. It’s a lot of weight in a small area. The ones with tracks seem to hold up better, I think deere needs to beef it up.

  • @mungogerryjnr

    Yo
    Pleased things have come better thou have to say
    It could have been far worse
    Thought Dad was super onto it regarding issue sorting and detecting the other day.Was surprised that the seed hose hanger was let’s say,under done.
    Noticed you are running at 2150rpms,why’s that??Wouldnt run same speed,one gear up down at 1900-1950🤷‍♂️
    Save that fuel and hours fella if you looked long term not just by the season.
    How much diesel does the farm use per year everything included?
    I’m thinking if I could bring in my unit,one load would be two years worth.Possibly more!We are carting 27,000 US Gallons per load or 120,000 ltrs.
    Oh Andy…..
    If I ever thought driving a German manufactured Deere tractor on metric and a Deere planted US made on imperial was difficult
    Watching you with your metric spanners on the planter is one level higher😂😂😂

    I’m still on custom 20” beans. My ground is organic no till. Our thing is to wait until after Mother’s Day every year, and go in with our shorter season stuff. Grazing before and after the cash crop. Every acre can take credit for $200 of farm revenue for protein pounds gained. Factor that in, and that our inputs are nil, it’s a living. One could say the livestock side owes the row crop something for the fertility provided, but then that only adds to the cost of the crop, robbing Peter to pay Paul.

    Completely frivolous fun fact... The most prominent contrail in your sunrise shot, is the high altitude J24-110 route between nav points Terre Haute and St. Louis. Any E-W planes you see over your area is on that.

    The main big engines that really burn fuel in the USA aren’t using DEF. Planes trains and those massive cargo boats. This is pretty stupid.

    Andey, I know I critisize the J-D planter, but when it running in top form, it's a very fast planter. I just hate electronic problems in high tech equipment. Frustrating to see and use ! Born in the wrong time to really appreciate it.

    Military, trains, diesel marine engines and emergency vehicles in America don't require def cause it's "unreliable"
