People should watch this video, and hear that in fact...he can sing. He damn sure has a voice, now whether he uses his full potential or not can be argued, but he can sing.
@AnimeBoi19 Yea its the same. Its all about how you approach the note. For example, If Trey was doing a run and he started at an E3 and fell to Ab2, it would be flat because he descended to get to that note. If he started at a C2 and went up to a Ab2, it would now be a G#2 since he ascended on the note. lol I hope I'm making sense
His range is really nice. Idk you people see his vibrato as a problem. Loved the F5 on Yo Side of the Bed. He had some nice belts on "Pretty Brown Eyes" with Ameriie too
Oh how you people make me laugh . First off , falsetto is part of a vocal range . If yu hit the note , u gt it . Clear as water . Last, my range is F2-A5 . I'm confused myself . I have vocal fry below Ab2 and hit complete head voice at maybe F5 . What range am I ?
@vantrey12 Yeah I think people are over-critical of him. I think he's amazing, the only thing I think he should work on is his vibrato. His falsettos and especially that G5 is amazing!
@JacobDaHeartthrob I used to face the same kind of problem. But then I started singing along with Mariah Carey and now, his belts aren't too much of a problem. Sure, I gotta work on stamina but I can belt every note he can. Oh, and I will be checking out your channel. Do you think he can go higher than G5?
@JacobDaHeartthrob Yeah...if you're a baritone and you're getting ready to sing "Neighbors Know My Name" prepare yourself for a work-out. If you can handle it, it's good for your upper chest register...if you can't, don't.
Just because you said I know nothing about vocals, and am admittedly bored working on a project on break just thought I'd let you know: Falsetto does not count as range :(. It's a disconnected register hence it alludes such with "False"tto
@TreySongzBestestFan They're notes on a piano. An E2 is the note (E) in the second octave. The second octave is the bottom half of bass clef. You'd have to be a musician to really understand...
@BlackLightning20101 lol.. nah im not a baritone. lol da range is not da problem. cuz my range is higher den trey's but. his beltS are the problems. dat was a month ago i got it now! i'll do a cover soon. check my channel out some time

I didn't know he covered Robin Thicke's Stupid Things, I need to find & download that!
that G5 is crazy
last note is G#5 he has 3 Octaves

Personaly I think Mario is the best r&b singer to come around in decades.
I think it's cool how you can tell what notes, range, etc songs are just by hearing it!!!
Really cool,
How do you do it???
:D

so im guessing his in a baritone catagory
Great video. I really like his voice. You shoulda added the notes from "Unfortunate" and "Doorbell" .. great video tho.
Sammie is a beast 2 i hate how people are sleeping on him his music is dope
@kavatuz was it strange because of the "er" vowel sound he held or because of the reverb they used?
Dramatic Tenor based on what this video displays.
+SimplyMJ I agree, but he would sound better if he sang with an open throat :)
@@susanmalczewski9052 how to sing with open thoart
@vantrey12 Yeah I think people are over-critical of him. I think he's amazing, the only thing I think he should work on is his vibrato. His falsettos and especially that G5 is amazing!
@AnimeBoi19 Nooo! lol thats an entirely different note. A G#2 is also a Ab2 (A flat).
Do one for Luke James when you can! He might have to release more songs first though but he can hit falsetto notes better than Maxwell!
@iWurk could you do one for Bluey Robinson if i give you some vids?
He's amazing!
I LOVE TREY SONGZ!!!
Almost 3 Octaves!!!
I feel like I'm nagging because I keep making requests but can you do one for Marcus Canty?
@iWurk Thanks for posting the name of the song up there...
@Here4Godliyah Nooo. Lol that was a D5.
@iWurk Ive always thought chris because of there careers but maybe thats because he's such a great dancer and his songs did so good when he came out
@Jovonnie19 3 octaves, 3 notes and 2 semitones
@JacobDaHeartthrob Yeah...if you're a baritone and you're getting ready to sing "Neighbors Know My Name" prepare yourself for a work-out.

That high note he hit toward the end of scratching me up, was that a g5 or g6?
Just because you said I know nothing about vocals, and am admittedly bored working on a project on break just thought I'd let you know:

Still scratching me up i meant
who do you think is a better singer between chris brown and trey songz
@AJMO10495 He starts on a G#5 then glissandos down to a G5.
The song you are lookin for is called crawl he goes highhighhigh in thet song lyk no joke
@AnimeBoi19 a G flat or a F sharp
@TreySongzBestestFan They're notes on a piano. An E2 is the note (E) in the second octave. The second octave is the bottom half of bass clef.
You'd have to be a musician to really understand...
@abcsweet What you mean there isn't a such thing as a flat? Yes there is :-\
@jayshell05 Neither of them are exceptionally well live though I've noticed. It's hard to tell what people true vocal range is just off studio songs.
@TreySongzBestestFan same here
next time could you distinguish the head voice from the chest voice. thanks.
@ekim474 out of who?
trey's not a "rangy" singer. he sings with power.. and quality...
its HARD singing his songs. like... neighbors kno my name
It’s easy for me
i dont get all these letters and numbers! lol but would someone like to tell me? pls
@MRVocalGUY G5. and the lowest was a E3.
@iWurk yeah, I can understand that
@MRVocalGUY Nah. The lowest note there is a D3.
Hahaha...at 0:20, I kept on going down after he already stopped.
Take that, Trey.
To me it sounds like he hits a G#5 at the end of love faces... right before he goes down & comes back up to a F#5
Do one of Ginuwine
@jayshell05 Trey... Chris is great too tho
@jayshell05 well based on PURE singing, Trey is much better than Chris. Overall, Chris is a better artist all around
@sooooooooosexyphilly piano ;)
@BlackLightning20101 lol.. nah im not a baritone. lol
da range is not da problem. cuz my range is higher den trey's but.
his beltS are the problems. dat was a month ago i got it now! i'll do a cover soon.
check my channel out some time
Auotune though.
Trey is versitile, not really a singer who sings with a high pitch, but he doesn't really need to.
lol a vocal range video with autotune notes
I can sing that song to his octaves.
His falsettos arent that good
