    All of this resonates! Mandy is such a beautiful soul. Definitely priorities change and baby is number one. It's the way it's supposed to be and they won't be little forever. Gus is ADORABLE and Mandy is beautiful inside and out.

      I had 4 kids, always had time for myself. In Europe we and our husbands care for each other and we manage to take care of our kids, live in multigenerational homes, no need for daycare, we raise our kids ourselves, go to spas etc. I noticed most canadian and american women often complain about having kids...you never had to have them.

    I wish they would’ve shown her on a normal motherhood day, versus showing her in really pretty outfits, with hair and makeup done. As she said that parents have less time for themselves, a more laid back look would match that. Although I’m sure she liked getting dolled up for once. It just makes it seem more glamorous than it normally is.

    I’m so glad that Mandy felt that immediate connection, but LOTS of parents don’t. Especially if it’s been a difficult pregnancy or birth. The connection sometimes takes time to grow as you get to know them. Just for anyone who might be watching and feel guilty that they didn’t have that. ❤️ it is very normal not to.

    Hospitals for the most part do teach the essentials before you're discharged after 2-3 days, such as when & how much to feed, changing diapers, burping & how to hold the baby. At least the hospital I birthed my 3 children at did, if yours didn't then you probably chose a crappy hospital, you've gotta pick a hospital with a good birthing center, some hospitals don't even have birthing centers or even nurseries. Also there's a lot to be said for common sense, I taught myself a lot of things in regard to taking care of my babies.

    I didn't realize I was " A Boy Mom" until I looked back at my life and realized I'd been blessed to not only raised my own 2 wonderful boys, but I had nannied 8 other boys (and 1 girl) along with them.
    The last 30 years of being a Mom has been fantastic. And after a 4 year hiatus? I'm ready to be the best grandma I can be!
    Mandy is such a beautiful woman. I'm not usually a "star watcher " outside of their artistic works, but after watching this interview? I'm so happy for her and her new family!
    Bless you all! Enjoy the ride Mom's! 🤗😍💙

    Mandy is having a cathartic-new-mom moment. Where u wished someone told u things… erm but would u have wanted to listen to all the T?
    I’ve birthed 3 babies & Ive also (like most moms) been someone who tried to give advice to young moms.
    It’s hard to be in either position. Unless the young Mom is open to the ONSLAUGHT of advice without being too overwhelmed. Sometimes.. The responsibility is not on the outsider… but it’s on the soon-to-be-mom to be ready & open to hearing all this prep. I’m not sure if young moms are these days. I sure wasn’t.
    “I wished someone had told me (the soon-to-be mom)” should be changed to “I wish I wasn’t ignorant to the realities” cuz… when you’re first-time pregnant, sometimes u begin to resent unsolicited advice, u just wanna dwell in ur ideal… nesting, pretty-Pinterest pregnancy world (unaware of the actual realities) & not have people Debbie-down on u. And hey… experienced moms might not want to bombard u with the nasty truthbombs and lead u to terror before u give birth too.
    It’s hard when u finally realise that ignorance doesn’t pay off. But u learn along the way to cope and love the journey eventually.

      @@celestebeale7946 hi Celeste! Firstly congratulations :) when people tell you it’s gonna be the most meaningful experience of your life. It is. Your fuel will be smelling your baby’s hair and even their breath. They’re gonna love you u conditionally and vice versa.
      That being said, watch out for the work ahead: if you’re going to breastfeed fully. The first 3 weeks is no joke. Sore nipples. Getting a lactation consultant to help will be very useful.
      Someone helping with meals and chores will be useful too. Esp if you end up having a csection electively or via emergency.

    Came natural for me. I babysat babies and small children since I was twelve. I had 2 children by 19 and my third by 24. I love being a Mom. Now I have 8 grandchildren. Your children always come first. A bit of advice for when Gus becomes a toddler. Please keep in mind that by 2 yrs old babies understand more than they have the skills needed to be able to communicate. SO, they can easily get frustrated and not being able to talk or have the verbal skills to be able to communicate they will cry and have temper tantrums out of sheer frustration from not being able to verbally tell you how they are feeling, what their needing, what's scaring them, etc etc. SO MANY parents do NOT understand how hard this is for a child at the time they are learning so many new skills but unable to communicate. SO please be patient with Gus. Boys are very independent and want to explore and are inquisitive and adventurous. Please dont ignore screaming temper tantrums. TRY to figure out what your child is feeling and needing.

  • @Shiharaariel
    @Shiharaariel 2 года назад +1

    I don’t understand why people think they’re pregnant for 10 months. I mean for about the first two weeks you haven’t even conceived which would make it 8.5 months really.

    • @anniej2954
      @anniej2954 2 года назад

      40 weeks divided by 4 is 10. So roughly 10 months. Subtract those first two weeks and you’re looking at roughly 9.5 months altho some women make it to 42 weeks.

    • @Shiharaariel
      @Shiharaariel 2 года назад

      @@anniej2954 that is wrong because many months are longer 4 weeks. The whole basis for this 10 month pregnancy thing is incorrect. I was over 41 weeks when I gave birth and my total pregnancy was still under 9.5 months
