Hi again! 🤍 I commented on your first video which I saw before this one, and loved seeing this one also because as an influencer and consumer myself I am on both sides so when I heard you say you changed your mind my instant thought was that’s totally ok! So thank you for sharing your honest thoughts and changes in thoughts- now to answer some of your commentary and concerns mentioned in this video, I initially pitched Derma e to allow me to formulate 6 products to start which would have given me more room to separate products and in single categories of usage. But unfortunately the budget given was only doable for 4 products and I had to pivot my idea into how I can accommodate to creating 4 useful products for a wide variety of hair types to find beneficial as well as unique from the rest of curly hair products on the market already. I changed the conditioner formula many times during our trial test because if the conditioner is too moisturizing it will restrict my wavy girls from having a product they find useful and if I make the conditioner too light it will restrict my tight and dry curly types from having enough benefit. Again keep in mind I’m restricted to only create 4 products. So I chose to go with a the light weightless conditioner formula but we whipped it so that it’s airy/fluffy when pumped and not watery on the hands so although the formula is light, the consistency was thickened for appearance purposes. To please my thicker, dryer, tighter curls and damaged hair types I insisted in a deep treatment that was higher in moisture and hydration with protein so that these hair types can opt out of using the conditioner in total and use the deep treatment instead or use it as a co-wash which SO MANY of my Afro curly types love doing. I’m not a huge co-wash user myself but I love to have the option and this conditioner being light allowed us the option to create a double use for the limitation of 4 products that represents a wider usage level for a wider range of hair types and needs. And lastly yes I’m not a chemist lol which is why I used Derma e ‘s dermatologist and chemist lab to help me create these products 👌🏾 thank you again and hope this brought some insight.
