Right after this.....Whites left the interior of Plainfield in droves!....some stayed near the fringes of South Plainfield...8th Street and further on the West End. Racism and intolerance spilled over and Plainfield officials were FORCED to sit down and negotiate.

I grew up in Plainfield after this...did your comment mean that thing got better? Because The Plainfield I know is a shithole. Ful of blacks willing to exercise racism on my white ass.

@@erwinorellano34 Same. I grew up here in the 80s and 90s. I caught racism and attacks the whole time. Because of my color. When more Spanish people started moving in, that changed. They held me down. Straight up.
