@@S4KatanaIn this context ?? Seemed like outplay, I don’t recall seeing the Qiyana sprinting and running it down. Her not going for the wave was def the right move against a Sylas lol
It's astonishing how they haven't just gutted his W yet. So many nerfs and changes, compensation buffs to his Q, etc and he's still this ridiculous. His passive also deals so much on top of that. He has such long cds early game, and still is able to outtrade or go even against lane bullies by just landing E lvl 1 or W+E lvl 2. It's absurd that even when he's weakest, you're still probably going even.
Do you use a mouse mat Pekin? Sometimes if i havent cleaned my mouse mat for a while the accumulated gunk causes friction which can result in odd movements. Otherwise probably mouse.
Hello Pekin, havent commented in a while as I havent been watching much League recently. I just have a question, but how do you manage to run scotfree during that Lvl1. I play in Emerald elo, sure a dogsht elo, but, if I play Sylas and miss E lvl1, I get rundown by a Yone every single time, and if I dont even E on him and just like wait out a bit to see what he would do, he would actually start stacking up his Q on the Raptors and just Qing again on minions for Q3, I have been hit and have not been hit by those Q3s, however, Id almost always lose trades especially in a long run. The fact that you E'd into him and miss E2, and still be able to run away without missing any hp is wild for me, most players in Emerald would forgo those 3 melee minion gold for literally like 150hp damage or even sometimes 200, if he hits a Q3... Electrocute or not, at the end of the trade, you just get doran shielded out of the lane...
unironically would also like to know how to deal with enemies that play perma aggro, especially if they're stronger than me in early game and they can just run me down while I'm trying to just play safe and farm it out
@@misxfitx tip to you and the original commenter at the same time. If you mean specifically on Sylas? You don't. This Qiyana just also has a weak level 1 so sylas kinda just steamrolls her at any level, and Qiyana ALSO just respected the sylas too much, like pekin said. If it was yone or yasuo, or annie or karthus, or any mage or ranged or someone else like that, with a decent level 1 and 2? He wouldn't do shit level 1, he's not an idiot. You would E1, deal 0 damage, and either E2, miss, and lose haaaard, or E2, hit, dash in, get one empowered auto, then get kited and ran down the entire lane with Qs and autos. Sylas is NOT a level 1 champion, he's a level 3 champion. Pekin would play careful and safe INSIDE of his minion wave, and if yone or yasuo dashed into his minions he'd E->E2 to knock him up inside the minion wave so that the minions beat up the champ. If it's a ranged champion, MAYBE short trades at level 2 after a wave and use W to heal back and out-sustain them. But mostly, catch waves, then hit level 3 and do E2 empowered auto W empowered auto Q empowered auto and walk away after winning every trade in the entire game. If you want GENERAL advice that isn't sylas specific? Know your champion's powerspikes, both in level and item. Everyone knows Kayle's peak is level 16. Everyone knows leona waits until level 2 for E->Q. What powerspike is Warwick? How about Lillia? And now that you know what your powerspike is, ask yourself "how do I set myself up to capitalize on that?" If you're a bruiser champ like darius or sylas, you wanna preserve your HP until you hit your powerspike so that you can start scrapping and NEVER stop. If you're a burst champ like Zed or Talon or Ekko, you want to take all the trades you can get and get both you AND the opponent to low HP, so that when you hit your powerspike you can dash in and EVAPORATE them. What about champs with no powerspike? They start off being pretty damn good and just stay pretty damn good, no OP but no weakness, like most mages like Zoe (high skill cap) or Malzahar (low skill cap). Well, that just means your powerspike is at level 1, you should TRY to play aggressive early and establish lane control, because once they hit their power spike, they're taking control back and beating you with it. Which brings us to the SECOND lesson: know when the ENEMY'S powerspike is, too, and what THEY want to do. You're level 2 zed and they're level 2 sylas, both of you are waiting, you gotta wait until level 6 for the eviscerate but sylas only has to wait 1 more level. Well, lowering sylas' HP won't set you up for your powerspike, you're 4 levels away! What it DOES do is scare the hell out of sylas though, where he knows if he misses E he is dead, and even if he gets his W off, a shadow Q aoe slash auto would still kill him. All that powerspiking he just did? Worthless, because you put yourself in his shoes and prevented his play before he even knew he wanted to make it.
@titusfortunus2916 bro you should be a coach. very well explained! thank you. I'll for sure apply this on my next game where I'm playing vs aggro enemies. my issue is that most the champs i like playing are weak early but scale, i play support so sometimes i struggle communicating with my bot laner that he shouldn't try to fight because we lose the 2v2. sadly, being in bronze, most players at this level get bored really easily if the game plan is "just farm under tower until mid game where we're more scaled and can actually win", since most of us aren't good at macro yet. my peak is gold, which is still shit, but i didn't get to play much this year so I'm still stuck in bronze lol so getting these kind of explanations where people explain like I'm 5 are literally the best for me
The 2nd game is the 2 poles of what not to do when you are losing: playing too aggro cus you can't let go of your stupid pride so you keep feeding AND on the other end, playing so so so passive that you just let the game bleed out slowly out of your graps in all capacity
I assume you mean the control ward getting an X on it Its cause you can only have one control ward on the map at a time so when pekin hovered over the control ward in his inventory the game lets him know what ward he'll lose if he places it. The same thing happens to supports and stealth wards (yellow) since you can only have 3 stealth wards on the map at a time.
i don't understand how the team that's so far ahead is still getting bounties for killing the opponent, like pekin got a shutdown on the smolder in game 1 even though I'm pretty sure smolder's team was probably down like 6k gold
@@emilydegroot6436 still, if your team is behind there should not be a bounty on your head, isn't the whole point of bounties a comeback mechanic? what's the point of it if it gives the enemy a shut down when your team is 6 or 7k behind
