Oh Crystal! 😢You had us on a roller coaster of emotions I wasn’t expecting to have. When you started crying, I was yelling my TV, “you got this Crystal!” I know it’s hard to lose a precious baby goat, but all that matters is that Tippy is healthy and she did give you a beautiful mini-me! You did fantastic and we all love you for how much you love and care about your animals! Virtual hugs sent your way!

I can't believe this is the third time she is having a sneaky birth , actually all her labours were unseen and easy .but this time Tippy wasnt lucky 😢 . Along with the beautiful and miraculous, there are some hard realities to what you do. So sorry for this hard time. Despite the beautiful living baby, you still have to grieve the lost one. I cried, too, so I can only imagine your heartbreak. I know you will be okay, and I hope the loving support we send helps.

That sucks! So hard to deal with these kind of situations! I had one this year with a long period of time between the first 2 kids, and the last kid (a pretzel baby). It didn't end well😢

Poor mama and poor Crystal. I think the new baby ought to be called TipToe, because she wanted to be right there in the middle of the trauma of her womb-mate’s entrance to the world. You have such tremendous good luck-a lot of that due to your excellent care of the pregnant does-with helping your goats give birth to live bucklings and doelings. I imagine it is both shocking and heartbreaking to help a doe pass an ill-positioned stillbirth. I’m so sorry for Tippy’s loss. I’m so sorry that Crystal had to keep pulling, knowing that Tippy was in pain and that the likelihood of a successful second kidding was slim to none. Aren’t we all glad that Tippy’s Mini-Me was born first, though! My best to all of you…. ✨💕💐✨

❤ from a former cow farmer, it is a win in those situations the Mother goat is alive. The tears are from all that adrenaline pumping through your body. You got it out really fast in real time I am sure it felt like days to you at the time.

May 3rd I had a FF kid with a single buckling. He was coming perfectly, and then as she pushed his head folded completely backwards. So when you started crying, my heart broke with you. The feeling of helplesness, but also knowing that you just have to find a way to get that kid out so you can save the mama. What broke my heart was seeing the kid move when the tips of his hooves were showing, and then seeing the moment when he stopped moving. 💔 I'm only 2 years into raising goats, and situations like this never will get easier.

I have a tiny herd, only two milking right now, and that is a huge fear, not being able to get one out and losing one of my beloved does. My entry to goats was buying 2 preggo Boers & I ended up having to go in pull 2 as they were stuck trying to come out at the same time. Didn’t have a clue what I was doing & no one with knowledge answering my calls. Had a copy of Raising Goats for Dummies (which one goat ate during this incident…no lie) & my 13-year-old daughter for help. I had lube & gloves & saved the 2 that were stuck plus the one waiting behind them. She already had 2 out (1 live & 1 stillborn) when I found her. I still have anxiety during birthing season. Thank you for loving your girls like you do and not just treating them as a business. Tippy and baby are beautiful.
