great video. trawlers have wipe fishin out. been campin there 30 years. fish all day get frigin nothin. maybe a Dart. dont both trying. more luck win lotto.
Depends on the location. If there is normally lots of artificial lights in that area then it’s not an issue. If you’re chasing a species that are attracted to light again no issues. But if the location is nominally only as light as what the moon gives then I would avoid artificial lights on the water.
Thank you very informative
Most welcome
Just spent a great couple of days camping at freshwater, pulling dart out of gutters. Glad I watched this first. Great advice as always, thanks Wayne.
Glad you liked it.

Nice. I wish I had your job Mr. G.
Not a job just a hobby.
Not a job just a hobby.
Hey Wayne wondering if you could do a general video about trolling in the estuary?
I have done a Flatty trolling vid in Hays inlet.
Hi Wayne
Any chance you can do a post on the top end of Pumicestone Passage and the Caloundra area?
BTW Love your channel.
Beautiful part of the world. Yep it’s on the list.
👍
Thanks for video. Where is the best place to catch tailor?
Tailor are very mobile and come and go quickly at many locations. Queens Beach some mornings. Southern end of Margate Beach works occasionally.
hey mate what type of bait or lures should we use while fishing around double island point what would you recommend?
Depends on your target species. Summer time I’d be chasing whiting with live worms winter I’d be thinking bream and tailor with pilchard
Hey Mate fishing the beach in September is that when the tailor are around
August and September are good months
Which end the beach produces the most tailor mate
They move often. It’s just a case of move until you find them.
Thanks for watching.
Great video. What rod holder are you using on your bull bar?
On the bull bar I use a Wilson detachable holder. About $80 in most tackle shops.
When fishing of a night off the beach, is it ok to have a lantern behind you or is that a no no.

Do I see pope rods?
Yes you do.
Mounting your reels on the front of your vehicle so they get full of dust, sand, and insects is just plain stupid.
Been doing it fo 40 years. Never had any issues.
