TWR was my entire childhood. This is the most “comfort food” video series I’ve ever seen

Your formatting to these reviews is very good.
As far as this set goes, I got this new in about 2007 or so for $25 (the seller was a nice guy and dealmaker who knowingly sold it at a steep discount).
I don't think I ever built it to the plans, I was in it for the parts.
My take on this is that the overall set is good...but hooking the back of the Works up with a line to the loop and/or bumpers would have vastly improved things.

It’s a shame they didn’t rerelease this set for Hero of the Rails. Just repaint the Works to the Steamworks and replace Culdee with Charlie.

Wow, I saw this and was like “how did I miss this?!” Only to realize I wasn’t subscribed 🤦 remedied that now! It was a big excitement for me to see a review of a set that always stuck out in my mind when I was younger. Not to mention a set that I suggested a review of! Whether or not that recommendation had anything to do with the creation of this video, I’m thankful.
As always, the style is so consistent! Some of the tunes randomly fly into my head sometimes and it reminds me of these videos. The music certainly helps leave an impression!
As for the review itself, I was a fan! I loved your discussion of the set categories, those being introductory, intermediate, and deluxe. It find this categorization to be a bit odd, particularly between introductory and intermediate. It almost sounds like some sort of difficulty, haha. Makes me wish for an “ultra hard” Thomas Wooden Railway set. One other thing about this set that stuck out to me as a kid was the inclusion of Thomas and Culdee on the same tracks. As we have seen in previous reviews, Learning Curve was never particularly concerned about keeping engines of separate gauges on separate lines.

@@WQJP If/when you do the Mountain Tunnel Set, there is a little known variation of the set made for schools called the "Thomas Classroom Activity Set" which you might wish to touch upon as well.

Seeing you reference the around the barrel loader set, it would be interesting to see a wooden railway layouts on that particular set, as it’s one of, if not my all time favorite set, as well as one of the only examples of a set not to include Thomas in any capacity. The other that comes to mind is the down at the docks set.
