dude that's like practically every time I work on the fleet. you haven't lived until you've had to kick off a shoe and stuff your big toe in the end of the jack to run it.
Vin's the most consistent, and it helps that he lives in a nice house, with a cute gf and house. He's literally living the dream and I support it. But Hert just dropped a great 40 minute ep too
they all have their own style and content demographic which is great. what they're doing might just not be your style which is fine. if all of them just did the same thing it would be boring as sheet.
Even though it is a gorgeous MCM house with a Ferrari and a Porsche in the garage, this content is relatable as heck to me. No hanger sized shops with 6 figures in tools and multiple lifts, just dealing with jacks, jack stands, ramps and working on your back. I felt that oil change mini rant. Just did the first one on my new to me truck today. First time dealing with a cartridge style oil filter. Not sure what idiot thought those were a good idea, friggin oil everywhere.
One of the things I like about your channel is as much as you are a car guy who has his shit together, you also a car guy who does not have his shit together, like rolling up to AutoZone or whatever and saying, "whadaya mean I can't get an oil filter for a Ferrari here??" Keep keeping it real.
DDE idiots can learn a thing or two from Vin about making no bs quality content and how not to miss lead your faithful audience. please continue making this type of content Vin. Your videos are worth every single second of your audiences time. Best of luck !
The faithful audience knows how to sense sarcasm. Unlike most casuals. I love DDE and Vin, different content from the same world. Keep hate watching though.
Honestly same. Tried watching DDE to fill the space Hoonigan left behind but I just can’t. Clickbait titles and thumbnails are insufferable and runtime is way too long for so little actual content. I wish the best for every car RUclipsr keeping the game alive but DDE just isn’t for me. Mike Essa is a G tho
"Its amazing how doing little things like a TCU and a ECU change makes your car fun to drive again." Friend, putting new Yellow fog bulbs in (ANY mod you do yourself) makes it fun to drive again! Love the content! Life goes FAST! Drive FASTER!!
as a 38.5 year old man, whom has been doing my own and family oil changes since the age of 14, I can relate to the complete inability to walk away un-oiled myself.
@13:07 FYI when you pour oil into the car, instead of pouring the bottle the way you did with the hole at the bottom, turn it so the hole is on top and then pour the oil. It will seem wrong but that is how they where designed to be poured so not to make a mess, and you can get the bottle very close to the oil hole then. Use it don't use it LOL
Love seeing you gradually add in new things in your videos and refining your style. We’re seeing the last of a dying breed of true car enthusiasts, keep up the work vin ❤.
The episodes are so fun, this is the best build series on RUclips. I’d suggest a vibrant blue for the wrap, something close to Miami blue, it would look great on a 360!
What a great episode. Love your approach to walking us through the process without yelling at us, using weird RUclipsr / influencer voice, or unnecessarily stretching something out to fill air time. The 360 sounds way better now with the valve controller working and the shifts sound way quicker. It was great to see the bench flashing process for the ECUs. I’m considering doing some upgrades to my 612 that would require some ECU tuning by trev.
Hi Vin, Nice video! Again! I may have a useful tip. I use 8 woodblocks for my 360. Each about 40cm long, 10cm high, wide enough for the tires. Jack the car up 1 side, 1 block Front and back. Jack up other side high enough for 2 blocks Front and back. Then first side second block both wheels. Takes 5 minutes and the car is high enough up to crawl under. Also for removing the undertrays. Keep up the nice Videos!
I just watched your goodbye Hoonigan video. I'm a nearly 70 year old car guy and you got my attention with the Ferrari because I've always wanted one. I have a 2000 FRC highly modified engine, a 1967 corvette coupe project, a 1931 model A five window coupe Hotrod and 1987 Chevy 3500 dually lowered. I don't completely understand you but I can't help but like you. I look forward to seeing what your'e up to in the future. I'd say good luck but I don't think you'll need it. Knock em dead!!
Thanks man! Solid lineup, i love the FRC and i grew up in muscle cars. I’ll have my dad’s chevelle in some of my future content! Also always wanted a square body dually for a tow rig. Even if it gets like 500 feet per gallon.
The automotive story telling in you videos is what brings me back. You have a episode story and a meta story as well. Over all that you are yourself here. This is what is needed.
Falling in love with this build. Much respect for all the people like Vin who work on their own cars. Built > Bought any day. Too many posers in L.A. paying people to mod their cars because they don’t have the skills to turn a wrench.
One thing I want to add. I'm not a big car mechanic guy but when pouring your oil, put the spout at 12 o'clock instead of 6 o'clock to avoid the glug. Sure it's slower, but you avoid the waving and glugging and moving your funnel out of place.
It’s so interesting that so many little changes can make such a difference. One of the reasons why i like this channel so much is because Vin is really about the details and that information is gold.
Yes, heat can affect the wiring, expanding and retrackting and so on. So if it's cooler in your garage, it might explain why it doesn't start out in the heat.
10:51 If you're on a budget don't get an air-cooled Porsche either then, 993 take two model specific filters and 10L of oil, plus theres a VERY involved process to get it all out of the engine. High performance euro cars from this era weren't built to be cheap or easy to maintain at all
I wasn’t aware of you / your channel until DDE moved into the property, but I can say I’m glad to be a subscriber. Concise content and love the chapter format.
Try some invisible glass "Glass stripper" you will have the cleanest windows with it, trust me. then do some ceramics or another window treatment to keep it fresh for a while.

Authentic, kind, lots of great advices and old school. Love that, keep going like this. Love the 997 GT3-RS so much. Absolutely dream car and my personel favorite over all sport cars. Vin, this stuff is good. You've tapped into a proper niche. The background you have through Hoonigan & other projects, combined with now your own style with a healthy dose of Neistat seasoning is making for some really good stuff man. I really look forward to seeing your content in two or three years once you've had time to learn even more and grow into it. Your stuff is easily gonna go from good to Great. Can't wait!
Ok, at this point the champagne gold is becoming a signature color.. you gotta stick with it. But definitely nice up the interior. Also, kudos on Penzoil! You're really getting going, it's good to see.
@6:10 : On my E39 Touring there was an electrical problem with the ABS module where when it would get hot it would go haywire. Speedo would bounce between actual speed and zero. ABS would freak out on stops. There may be a module that, when heated, causes issues due to 25 years of degradation and heat cycling.
turn the oil jug 180 degrees when you pour it (opening at the top) and the oil won't glug while coming out. begin with the jug flat for an easier start to your pour then rotate the jug to have the opening at the top. no need for a funnel, just send it and still have no mess.
Align the headlights Vin, I noticed that one is significantly higher than the other when you pulled in the garage. Find a flat ground, measure the height with the front end parked right next to the wall, then back it up 7 meters (whatever that is in bald eagle units), and the headlight cutoff should be 5-7cm (2-3 inches) below what it was when the car was parked next to the wall. Both sides should be obviously level with eachother as well.
I noticed the inn wheel hub in the corner of a BBS wheel 🛞 did ya accidentally bend a lip ? Sucks man I’ve done that with some super rare MOMO’s I had on my E36 1993 BMW325is in Laguna Seca color with 2 tone tan interior back in the 90’s thanks to the city not filling a minor hole at the Fairplex in Portland Oregon till I told them about it then they filled it after I told em witch I learned how to take better pictures than the hole and the wheel ! Fortunately I worked at a BMW dealer KUNI Cadillac BMW in Beaverton 🦫 Oregon and we found another another wheel 🛞 WOW what an epic journey lol😎👍🏻🇺🇸🙏🦅😇🇩🇪
Dude, this episode is the best one you've released so far. I think you might have the most enjoyable car-related channels on RUclips yet. Nice work man, and keep it coming!
Love watching you do all this stuff to your 360!!!! I got one about 2 years ago and have done a lot of the same things, hope you post a video on the belt service! 🔥
Yknow what the F1 box here SOUNDS a lot more crisp, it seems to have taken a lot of the lag out of it, 28:02 etc. really sound like it’s finally ripping the downshifts a whole lot better. It’s odd that this is all software because the noise sounds a lot like how F355s should in my head. Such a beast! I didn’t rate 360s as much before but for sure, bolt ons just seem to have transformed this thing. And again, even if it ends up on a flatbed, you still have a Ferrari!
On the oil change subject... no, it's not possible to do that without at least some mess. I've got the trajectory of the oil stream down now, but the biggest culprit is always the filter. The only good way is having a huge drip pan with one of those mesh splash defender deals.
Agree those mounts didn't look that bad. Both of mine were smashed and the passenger side completely fell apart when I turned it upside down. You should consider changing the thru bolt at the same time. The factory nut is a locking style that damages the threads of the bolt when it's unthreaded, so if it's re-used the increased friction will result in hitting the torque spec at a lower clamping force. I use the same method for removing the plastic undertray. Tall wheel ramps are key.
Good episode, lot of work done! Honestly the paint scheme on this car is growing on me... but if you do end up making color change, plz dont wrap...BRG paint job with those wheels... would look mental.
Way to shout out all the sponsors and get crap done. Your bank is thanking you right now. I love how slammed the rear end is...are you keeping the paint? the champagne color is okay for a Rolls.
Wow Vin, this is actually now my favorite RUclips channel. When I see that new upload on Thursdays I debate whether I want to watch right away or save it for later, hahaha obs couldn't wait for later on this one!
Thank you ! So awesome!!! Finally someone working on a 360 and showing the improvements and how to work on it with general maintenance and owning one and what takes $ love seeing you enjoy this car , have always been a fan of the 360 , and to show it is manageable is actually own one awesome !! 💯☝🏼

I think I’ve watched every video you’ve made. I’m not even a “car guy” but got my attention. Really good content - well done Can’t wait for next one and if you do make merch I’ll buy to support. Was literally in Newport this morning now back home to NM- like Porsche central in the OC
Waiting for this merch drop with phrases like "support the boys who support the boys" and "vins bolt on boys garage" A side note to commenters about the editing style and Feng shui of the videos here being better than hoonigans or some of his shredditors. Yes. Vins style and knack and personality is heavily reflected in the videos we liked. And alot of scumbaggery comes from his interactions and herts ain't care. Was a solid time. I'll look back on it with fond memories and glad to be alive driving my own 02 wrc and being a general hooligan. Now we are aged out of the hooligan but we have money and memories and opportunities! I wish most all the old hoonigns house success in their lives and goals
You forgot to take into account the weight of the engine collapsing the mounts. Looked okay without weight but i bet with them tightened down they were collapsed down to those small rubber blocks.
Great progress! My motor mounts were the same - didn’t look that bad but were. I also can’t change oil without a mess! TCU update is next on my list - glad to see the results were good.
That thigh cruncher jack lift though had me dead lol. We've all been there.

Man I love the content dude. good vibes everytime.
Vin’s the Casey Neistat for car vlog.
I’ve really been enjoying your vids in your post-Hoonigan chapter. Keep it up brutha!
That Ace Hardware in Long Beach is legit. Their hardware section is no joke.
Great video, Vin! Glad to see the fix for the immobilizer wasn't a huge deal.
I love this channel so much. I look forward to Vin's videos every Thurday now. Very well done as always.
I think I’ve watched every video you’ve made. I’m not even a “car guy” but got my attention.
Really good content - well done
Can’t wait for next one and if you do make merch I’ll buy to support. Was literally in Newport this morning now back home to NM- like Porsche central in the OC
literally my favorite car content on yt at the moment. kilin it vin
Waiting for this merch drop with phrases like "support the boys who support the boys" and "vins bolt on boys garage"
A side note to commenters about the editing style and Feng shui of the videos here being better than hoonigans or some of his shredditors.
The 350 is really taking shape now. Noice work. Another Great video!!
You forgot to take into account the weight of the engine collapsing the mounts. Looked okay without weight but i bet with them tightened down they were collapsed down to those small rubber blocks.
Ahhhh good point
The gear changes sounds crisper now u have done all the changes. Nice.
I follow roughly a dozen car streamers. And you are bang on with your content. Keep it up sir!!!
Gotta ❤ Thursdays…cause it’s 1 day from Friday and new video from my favorite channel!!!! Great video Vin!
If you hold the oil bottle the other way, with the spout at the top, it will pour more easily.
if you hold that oil with the "belly side" down you wont get that flub when you pour and wont make a mess.
This is really my favorite content on RUclips. It is informative and interesting and cool. I am happy for you bro
I appreciate that!
Love the penzoil platinum series oil I've been using since they came out with it.
This is wild. I have the same two cars. 2011 RS and Argento 360CS in Japan. Glad the Trev tune went well. I will be getting one for sure. Awesome vid!
Love that fact that you go through everything and don't do like a 5 part series on everything you did on this video 💪
Great progress! My motor mounts were the same - didn’t look that bad but were. I also can’t change oil without a mess! TCU update is next on my list - glad to see the results were good.
TCU is HUGEEEE night and day
