Bryson had to earn that win with the up and down on 18 but that was a legendary choke job by Rory. Truly unforgettable
For us who have watched Bryson’s UT channel, we knew this all along and why we watch his channel more than any golf tournament.

Typical media nonsense. Last time I check, golf is based on score, not style. DeChambeau was the best player today and for the whole tournament. Rory looked great (emphasis on 'look") but he choked when it mattered. DeChambeau meanwhile has cojones of stone.
No offense to the no-name winners over the years but it's so nice when a star wins a tournament like this. It just gets so much more attention and is such a bigger deal
When the final putt was made I was exhausted 😅.

Don't know if you realize it but Bryson changed the head on his driver 5 min before teeing off because he had flattened the face of his gamer. Only hit it 5 x before he had to go. That's why he couldn't find a fairway to save his life.

If I had to pick one or the other, choke or win (both are true), I'd have to pick a win by Bryson because bogeys are not unusual there. But that clutch bunker shot under pressure... that's a WIN!!!
Mcllroy’s reaction to losing yesterday was churlish & pathetic. A player of his stature & influence in the game should’ve shown some class & congratulated DeChambeau, not sulked off like a petulant child. DeChambeau went out of his way to congratulate Schauffele after missing out on the PGA title by 1 shot, even though he must’ve been hurting just as bad. I think Rory will be losing fans by the bus load unless he gets ahead of this & apologises to ‘Bryson’ quickly & publicly
I seen that Pavon congratulated him because they were playing together, but I didn’t see Cantlay shake hands with him or Finau and they were right in contention until the end also. So then why didn’t the Media go after those guys also?

What’s worse than Rory not doing a presser is NOT manning up and congratulating Bryson. That was a true show of character and a classless , selfish, move. Then he withdraws from the Travelers? The guy doesn’t care about the fans.

This wasn't Rory's to win...more Bryson's to lose.
Rory was 3 back and as difficult as Pinehurst was playing, catching and passing Bryson was not realistic to expect from Rory.
Bryson could either keep the gap or throw it away...and he tried...only 5 fairways...but when it mattered he did what he had to in order to win the match.
Rory was chasing and shot 1 under to Bryson's 1 over on the day. So I don't agree that Rory lost it...Bryson just won it
By that same logic, it was Rory's to lose once he was up 2 strokes with 5 holes to go.

Shoulda, Woulda, Coulda's. There are a million ways Sunday could have played out. What was supposed to happen did. Unfair to beat up on Rory as a choke job. Had Bryson not sprayed it all over the property on Sunday would Rory even have the opportunity to win the Open?

It is unusual that bryson has not been able to win on LIV this season, and has not played particularly good, so his play in the last 2 majors has been stellar; could easily of been 2 majors in a row for the chambeeno. A playoff would have been the ultimate; and Rory could not find a par, pure choke.
