Living on the edge. I've seen 86 on the CPU meter. Dangerously close to cutting out. I'd set the reverb to normal Q and Density to 4. Even direct with in-ears (pretty bright) I can't tell a difference. Effects always have cpu draw even if bypassed.
Came here from a thread on Fractal forum about the noise gate, specifically how you don't use it. But I don't hear much noise. Do you turn the volume down every moment? How do you get such a low-noise base sound?
I really enjoyed this! What a well sorted rig you've got there.. I agree re. FRFR cabs, they don't work live, (for me) ..gots to move some air. Nice one mate!
Yep, there are some new FRFRs im using and i really like them. the RED SOUND. They are GRFR (guitar frequency) so my eq-ing required. Give them a try. You'll love them shop.independentmusic.com.au/lg-12-active-and-passive-monitor-system-for-digital-system-grfr/
@@PeterNorthcote Phew, they're too rich for me :) look nice though.. the problem I have is I've played in a 70s style power trio since '79 and a large part of that is riding the feedback wave created by the half stack on a riser behind me, so I fret a D without strumming and it immediately rings out, I have the 4x12 at the height it would be if it were on another 4x12 so it's easy to hear alongside a loud drummer, I step to one side to reduce the feedback or step into the sound beam to increase it.. I find the microphone in the virtual line from modeller to IR to FrFr mutes the musical feedback in a weird way, so I just send the IR to FOH and the pre IR signal to a tube head for the 4x12, best of both worlds.. love how deep you are into the Fractal.
Hi Peter great video thanks for sharing. I was wondering what differences you might have between this patch and a patch for a guitar with humbuckers please.
Well, i use the same patch. I once copied this patch and lowered the GAIN on each AMP. But I just know how to deal with each different guitar now. And that's what its all about. A different guitar for a different tone. As i feel like i'm just skimming the surface with the FM9, it may all change one day. In fact, I'm sure it will.
Great vid - some really nice sounds here and beautiful *diverse playing to demonstrate the possibilities. I'm close to pulling the trigger on an FM9 or FX MK3 - this modeler seems to be the most natural sounding. Q - Aside from processing power have you detected any difference in audio sound quality between FM3 FM9 and FX MK3? Have you tried any others like Quad Cortex?
And probably some of best tones I’ve heard from FM9!
Im a great fan of your marvelous playing my friend im 76 yrs old
And admire your qualities much ❤

Hi Pete
Great sounds and playing
Cheers
Some great tones in there! Nice sounding Strat too!
Great setup mate! You’ve really got it dialled in. I’ve just got my FM9 and am working on it. So far I dig it.
SO good Nick. If you need any help or tips, give me a yell. (PS...you're and awesome musician my friend.)

It was stressful watching your cpu warning going off haha
Hi Pete. Why not get an axe fx 3, and a couple of fc12s? That should solve all your CPU and button problems. Thanks for the great video.
Are your presets available?
Your a Genius
And so are you my friend. Thank you
I feel the same about the noise gate screwing with the feel. Do you just tolerate 60Hz hum or do you have another solution?
Sounds awesome !!! Is there a place where I can buy your base preset?
Pete, how do you connect to your 2 AIRSTEPS? MIDI - USB or WIRELESS? James....x "More Power Feeling"!!!!!
More buttons = FC12 or FC6 (which it looks like you’ve got with a FM3?)

My God you need to be paid by Fractal and should be doing all the presets. Great

No difference between all the models. Yes, ive tried the Cortex. Everyone always eventually land at AXEFX....
Is that turbo or standard
