Basic housing should be considered to be an essential service . Everyone should be able to access a housing commission flat without waiting for many years if they are not part of a priority group. There should be enough resources in this area that there is no need to have priority groups.
That because most immigrant have to have a certain lvl of wealth and education before they even get a visa and most of the time their upper middle class and become middle class or lower middle class by the time they move , most start of better than the average person
@Nigel Rr It is an excuse. You obviously have no idea about inter-generational poverty. Trauma gets passed down from one member to another and causes depression and anxiety.
The Asian and Hispanic communities started out where I'm from by sharing groceries, electric bills, apartments, houses and cars. They saved money also. This is how they survived and even thrived eventually. Singles and families did this.
I used to live in Woodridge it went from over %90 white to I doubt even %50 white now. You cannot keep importing a problem and expect to make progress.
This is such a positive message, being a single parent I really appreciate these items😁
New start is a joke, we need to support the poor. There's so many people who are one or two pay packets away from being homeless.
We need more public housing

A lot of immigrants and refugees start off poor, but, their kids do well in school and life, seems like a white australian issue
Go home.
