My friend and I have been working several weeks ahead of our class in Digital Electronics, and we have pretty much been teaching ourselves this stuff as we go along the book of worksheets, we were really having trouble with this and a little shaky on boolean, now its a ton more clearer, thank you so much!

Oh, gee, I always found that alternative notation you showed that a lot of other people use for the rows and columns in a Karnaugh Map a bit obfuscating. The only notation I ever knew, before I saw this video, in fact. That notation constitutes one more, unnecessary, step to keep in your head, while thinking, really.
The way you do it, is the way to do it. Put the A, B, C etc. and their inverts there, rather than the zeros and ones, and you just keep your thinking one step closer to your target.
How many times I have wished I had RUclips when I attended the university back then, during the nineties. Life would have been so much easier, if I had.

    • @MovieHQ

Great videos Sir. I've watched the last two (Boolean simp. & DeMorgan's) in prep for my exam tomorrow and they were a great help. They've helped to make more sense of what my textbook has to offer, or lack thereof. Hence the reason I have subscribed. I'm already pretty good with K-Maps, but I'm going to watch this one anyway. I want to see your take, or instruction, on them. Thank you for the videos.

+Sshyom M You should have the 2 on the far left and the 2 on the far right. You would then group them into a group of 4 by connecting one side to the other by wrapping it around. Thanks for watching!!

Hey MovieHQ, thanks for your videos on boolean algebra, you really saved my ass here right before exams. I was wondering if you could make a video about DNF and CNF as I think that it would make a lot of sense to include it in the series about boolean algebra.

+TheJonnyjoh Thanks for watching. I have never used those forms to teach basic digital simplification. I understand they are a form of logic, but we do not use it in our classes. Sorry I could not be of more help.

    MovieHQ For Q.3 for 4-variable I'm also getting C'D' + A'B'D' + B'CD? Can we simply this to get C'D' + A'B'C + B'CD?
