On the last book you showed…
That last page was missed during the cutting. The pages were folded and then the folds were cut with a blade. Not uncommon to find pages that were overlooked.
Thrift stores are fantastic places to find old books!

What appears to be wear on the pages is most likely because they were knife cut.
