First Bunny Shaw goal. Notice her technique in that split second she had to think about it. She had the presence of mind and ball mastering skill to kick at the top of the ball, bouncing it off the ground to trouble the keeper. Top shelf striker. When I said that she could easily become one of the best in the world, many people rubbish my words. Jamaican coaching fraternity have a distance to go...

As I said, the mindset of football coaches in Jamaica is not up to the mindset of athletics coaches in Jamaica. That is the ONLY difference in why football does not do as well as athletics. Bunny could make and strike for ANY TEAM that will be in the world cup. It is hardly likely that Jamaican coaches will believe that much. Or if they do, they will not concentrate on the right stuff to make it work.

The Reggae Girlz are definitely trending upward. This is the best match I've seen them play. They did a much better job taking care of the ball and advancing it. They're also starting to get more clinical in the attacking 3rd. They're much better on defense as well. If they keep improving over the next two weeks, expect some surprises in France. This was an important step for them.

Stop, it either us USA, Brazil if Marta plays well, Sweden or England. You can’t sleep on Japan, China or South Korea. Japan is a very tactical team so it’s always great to watch them play. They won’t win with their defense or the fact they can’t put a few passes together. They will get eaten alive vs the more experience women’s teams.

Millie Bernard,, You sound like you would be a good Coach, simple football is what's missing, while the long pass has it's place on occasion, I don't know why the love these long passes from the back so much, 90% of the times its a give away to the opponent, they cannot play USA or any of the European Teams like that, or they will be steam rolled.

I've been playing this game for many many years, live and breathe Saturday morning football from the EPL. Never coached but can read the game well.
I've been watching the friendly games the USA, France, England I'm afraid the Reggae girls are going to have a hard time unless they can prove me wrong. Simple passes that can be made to keep possession are not, just forcing the play.

The coaches understanding of football is what will reflect on the players....if the coach is limited and substandard then it will show on even the best individual players...its been far too long we are trying to play high school type football at every level and expect success... Please send our coaches overseas to get first hand training... Even at the EPL level...we would reak hovoc on the footballing world.. A good win nonetheless but a very soft one...with lots of areas to be improved on

Great to see them going. Good bunch of players. I wish they would have done more fine tuning in terms of movement on and off the ball, effective and efficient passing, making decisions whether to pass or possess. These are the fundamental problems that will make their lives difficult. Teams that are sharper will be very hard to beat. Bunny seems to be well ahead in terms of effective play. Plummer could also be there but she tolerates making errors a little too much. Simply do the simple things right and don't make errors, period. They fumble a lot when they have to trap the ball, think and execute in a split second. They end up bad passing or over possessing. Some ball mastering skills training under strict order would probably have helped. When the team is moving well and passing well the members of the team concentrate on the game a lot better. We are still at a point in our football where we do not realise how easy it is to be just as good as the rest of the world. If we look at these technical principles of the game and dare to demand that perfection we will be as good as the best or better. We have gotten there with our athletes and their coaches know how good they are and how to be the best.
I think Geselle Washington should have been selected over the younger Swaby, its a pity Shakira Duncan came into the picture so late, for she is very fast, and can score Goals frequently, otherwise I'm satisfied with everybody else.

I am hoping got this coach of the reggae girls are taking a page out of the Panama book in all the maintain their composure notoriously clearing bars but passing passing and holding up the ball until they get assistance from their teammates Jamaican reggae girls just do better because of sheer Talent not proper coaching no form of disrespect but just observe these two Panamanian match all the Panamanian girls go to work please we have limited time but with these few days to go please teach our girls to hold the ball little longer and make direct passes Andrew passes deliberately instead of originally clearing our balls and giving away balls unnecessary we have the class and quality and we are also looking urgency on the ball and off the ball we can be in the finals if not taking it all

Our RB Dominic Bond-Flasza needs to tighten up she seems to be shaky at times, Need to better and quicker at discussion making and also makes too much errors. I hope she improves, I think she's a good defender. She just need to tweak her focus and discussion making. Her addition to attack is good tho.
Also I hope Hue Menzies keep Mireya Grey in his plans. She prove to be a very useful player. Disappointed she did not make the final 23 but the final 23 is a great selection nevertheless.
She can be a great asset for us so I hope the coach keeps her in his future plans. It would be wise to avoid losing her. So yh. 🇯🇲❤

People might think i'm ungrateful, but up to now I'm not pleased with the way they, or any other Jamaican Team for that matter, including the men's Team, the biggest problem is they seem to force the passes too uncertain, and can't string like 5-10 passes together, like other Countries in the W-Cup, the only saving grace as always Bunny Shaw and both Goal- keepers to a certain extent.
