I cringe when I see videos of poor scratchbuilt RC planes. That happens too often. But watching your videos is a pleasure for the eyes and a deep satisfaction as admiring the engineering, the care and the precision. Many thanks for your so instructive videos.
You’re evidently quite experienced in working within depron, small tricks like taping the end of the blade and using the full length to slice can only come from experience. Very nice design very well made thank you.
The way you stiffend up the Vertical Stab with carbon fiber strip was so simple yet genius..... I'm going to remember that trick for future building. You should be doing this work with balsa and end up with a REAL plane! Sorry, I just am a balsa/ plywood purist. My first airplane was a Carl Goldberg Eagle, and I STILL have it, ready to fly anytime. That was 24 years ago. No Foamy is going to be usable after that amount of time. Still flies straight and true, though it's a little heavier from the bracing and epoxy used after it's 2 crashes. Anyway, your video gave me some good ideas on building, as I've taken a few years, (Read MANY) break in building/ flying only to see that I can now make everything FPV if I want to. And I'm about to build and modify a Great Planes Spirit 2M Glider, and electrify the nose with a pretty hefty motor and use it for long distance FPV. Thanks for your posting this video!
I really loved the way you preciously craft the parts and they fit real good, You have patients to wait to glue every parts as it takes time to dry. :)
И наглядно, и красиво, и забавно местами, и компоненты расписаны, и схемы выложены, и никто не балаболит, и музыки дурацкой нет. Но почему нет ляма подписчиков? Хотя х5 за год - тоже хорошо.
Congratulations, what a fantastic job you do; I really appreciate it a lot and I would like to know where you got the set of very efficient manual drills that are very practical for making airplanes. Best regards.
Great design! I've been trying to print out your mustang and make it, sadly it's in JPEG (I think) format and I can't use normal A4 printer to print it out. If you would import plans in PDF in vectorized graphics it would be very easy to scale them up without quality loss and to print them home printer via Adobe Acrobat reader printer menu
It's used in underfloor heating and is similar to Depron. In the UK B&Q sell 3,6 and 9mm sheets under their Diall brand www.diy.com/search?term=Diall+Polystyrene+Insulation+board
Please please please can you make an airplane with a detachable wing design, i.e., both the wing halves can detach with screws or something, for easy storage of these models??🙏🙏🙏 Regards from india 😁🙏🙏
What glue are you using? All the glues I can get my hands on just melt my depron PS: if you know about any specific ones that are easily available in Europe/ Germany, that would be even better
Добрый день. У меня есть пригоршня мелких моторов 1811-2900KV с тягой в 140-150г. Как думаете, потянет такой движок этот глайдер или хиловат? Не знаю куда их применить уже такие немощные
My scratch foam aircraft construction starts out good but I am no where near the neatness of @NumaVIG - put me in the jealous category. I'm finding it hard to get a good glue other than hot glue gun and epoxy and I don't have patients for UHU glue.
@@MarkPrimavera you don't have to be "patient" for polymer glue (UHU is polymer glue as well). You simply put parts together and use masking tape so they'll dry in the position you want them to. If you don't like waiting you just got for another part of the plane and prepare it. Hot glue is nowhere as precise as polymer and is way lighter. However, hot glue is very useful when gluing firewall and landing gear since it's a bit flexible and will allow a little movement without breaking off
@@szajba8106 Thank you for the comment and I have started using UHU, you are right, while it is drying work on another part of the plane or what I sometimes do is clean up the workshop :)
@@MarkPrimavera exactly. In the beginning I wasn't very happy with long drying glue but unlike hot glue it lets you adjust parts together. If you make a mistake with hot glue you can't fix it
I started construction today on this glider, and so far so good but still not as neat and tidy as NumaVIG's work. We don't have this 5mm XPS foam underlay in our area so I used my table top foam cutter to make 5mm sheets from pink XPS foam, works very well. To see the foam cutter go to ruclips.net/video/WdFkp5-aSOY/видео.html - it really works great!
i have a random question (new to rc here), what is it with you rc guys and the messed up units. for example you say 2000mm, who even does that, it's 2 meters yo, if you like so many zeros why not 2000000um?? same thing with the batteries, i see 50000mAh, yo, that's 50Ah what is with the units that rc people use i just don't get it.

The poorly built ones are to show beginners that it doesn’t have to be perfect and they don’t have to stress
You are a true craftsman! I love your home-built tools to assist your precision construction. Thank you for this wonderful service to our hobby.
I like that you included a thrust test of the motor and prop, very useful info. Great work
real nice editing! would love to see more build videos in a quality like this! thanks for your work!
Reminds me of my first RC plane: A Gentle Lady 40 years ago
I recently bought the sophisticate lady, I believe that came after the gentle lady.
Still have your 049 engines?
No, I actually moved continents since then. I do have fun memories of my Cox buzzing...
I built one too!
Very creative foam cutting tools !
I knew I’d never see the appeal of foam building….until now. I’m so glad I was wrong :) Also, your directing and editing skills are amazing

Try - google + "xps underlay for laminate", or "XPS foam"
