That's good parenting in my opinion. Shirley needed to tell him how it is because he's been acting like some baby, talking like an idiot about Linda leaving him. She didn't leave him by choice to go and relax elsewhere while the Vic was struggling, she was helping her sick mother. What kind of rubbish is "Whitney was here"? She's his son's wife. That's wrong. I think he has really strong feelings for her because he was ok before Stacey came in the pub and said, "Whitney's ok she is staying with Ryan and she's fine", after he heard that he started the drinking becoming almost depressed, I think what Stacey said gave him the impression that Whitney wasn't coming back and he could'nt deal with it. I may be wrong I don't know, but they are sending all sorts of mixed signals with this.

I'm still disappointed that EE axed the Mickney storyline...I was really getting into it and they actually had good chemistry. He and whit kissed like 3 times behind Linda's back, so they might as well have slept together tbh it wouldn't have made much difference. The writers made this a bit confusing because one second Mick was acting desperately in love and jealous about her with Woody, then later he's making excuses about his feelings as if it's a mistake. Still, I shipped them so hard.
