Sunset for Orchard Park?

Late on 14 December 2024, a local resident takes us on an afternoon flight over Orchard Park, the last remaining neighborhood green space in Northeast Altoona. In 2001 the Central Blair Recreational Commission Comprehensive Plan identified thier Orchard Park as a very lucrative potential space for a pilot interactive community garden rent/lease/grow program. The neighborhood was stunned to learn via the Altoona Mirror and other sources that the City Mayor considered this beautiful and well maintained park to be blighted, abandoned, and "little used" and sold it for only $1. We the neighborhood think we can transform this Orchard Park into a glorious neighborhood orchard for the next 7 generations. The City should just give us the chance.
