- In this video we will see how to make white chicken biryani recipe in tamil. White biryani or Vellai biryani which uses subtle amounts of spice and makes a flavorful but mild biryani. Kongunadu Vellai Biryani is a popular cuisine adaptation from the regular biryani. This white biryani is also served during festival celebrations.

Ingredients:
2 tbsp Ghee
3 tbsp Oil
2 bay leaves,3 Cinnamon pieces,5 Cadamom,5 cloves,2 star anise
1 small piece mace,2 stone flowder,1/2 tsp Fennel seeds
2 Onion
2 tbsp Ginger Garlic green chilli paste
handful Mint leaves
handful Coriander leaves
3 -4 Green Chillies
1/2 tsp Garam amsala
3/4 tsp Coriander powder
3/4 tsp Pepper powder
10 cashews (paste)
1/4 cup Curd
3 cup Water
750g Chicken
2 cup Rice (400g)
1 tbsp Salt or as required
juice of 1/2 Lemon

Nice recipe, i am going to try this, sis. I am curious to know the cooker that you used. I use normal prestige pressure cooker with weight o n it. After the first whisle, i remove the steam and the whistle , open and mix the rice from bottom up once, close the lid and let it simmer for 5 mins for the rice to cook well enough. Yours look thoroughly cooked after the first whistle. May I know the cooker you used, sis ?

But oil is not seperating for any like gravy chukka pulikolambu... Like what ever i cook.... Oil is not seperating finally... I dont know what mistake iam doing... Kindly help me
This is my feedback.
1. Very less oil to the ratio of ingredients.
2. High heat may cause the ingredients to burn rather than cooking well with the oil. Be patient when it comes to cooking.
3. The type of oil used, some oil smokes a lot and this causes severe chemical reaction and leading some parts of the oil evaporated in air. Use groundnut oil, corn oil, , soyabean oil, sunflower flower as they have high sustainability against high heat.
