How did you get the game to run that smooth? Seems like everyone else including me experiences a lot of glitches, slowdowns etc.

I could never get this game to run adequately. Still trying to find out how to get rid of jagged, stretchy textures as you race, disappearing textures as you are close to your character, and frame dips. and i'm running on the latest stable version! Keep me posted because I really wanna play this game again!!

we need some updated settings for the nightly man. So hard to get decent visuals and decent frames in this game.

Just have to ask, how did you avoid the flickering textures and weird lines on the screen?
Trying to play it with 1.7 and, while everything else is perfect, the lines and stretching textures bother me.
