- The Outlaw John Rocha watches and reacts to the first OFFICIAL TRAILER for GODZILLA MINUS ONE from TOHO STUDIOS and writer, director, VFX artist Takashi Yamazaki. The film comes out on Dec 1st in the US and stars Ryunosuke Kamiki, Minami Hamabe, Yuki Yamada, Munetaka Aoki, Hidetaka Yoshioka, Sakura Ando, and Kuranosuke Sasaki.

When I first heard of more Godzilla related films or projects being made a few years back. I was very excited about the invovlement of Japanese film production companies for this one. I loved this trailer and have it on my watchlist for December.
Fun fact: Takashi Yamazaki the director of this film is a big fan of Godzilla, he also featured Godzilla as cameo in "Always: Sunset on Third Street" on 2005 and he is the director of "Godzilla the Ride: Giant Monsters Ultimate Battle" which have same design for Godzilla in this film

I get the feeling that Godzilla is here to make humanity pay for their hubris and that scene where a shockwave destroys a bunch of buildings reminds me of cinematic recreations of an atomic/nuclear explosion.

Why are most godzilla fans smooth brains? Godzilla fans, have selective amnesia...last time I checked TOHO themselves got out SEVERAL movies where Godzilla was a good guy, with children...made for kids. What, "we got here" was an Anti-Hero Godzilla....Legend Goji keeps balance...He doesn't really "care" for humans or want to "save" them...He's worried about keeping his throne, not letting any monster up him in HIS territories.
@@megamegaO Yeah I don't really understand some Goji fans. I saw someone actually stated that Toho did Godzilla better than Legendary because Godzilla is not meant to be a hero, that he's not meant to be in a goofy action movies, and I could not stop laughing from that..

Really looking forward to this. Been a fan of Godzilla since I was a little boy and glad to see Godzilla movies still being made in 2022. And this one looks to be a more old school take aside from the monsterverse godzilla
The line "That monster will never forgive us" as well as some references about the Imperial Japanese government and Yamazaki's previous WW2 movies make me think that the movie might actually be more critical of Imperial Japan, which isn't a first. There has been a Japanese Godzilla movie where Godzilla was supposed to represent the vengeful souls of Japan's WW2 victims.
This one looks like it’s gonna be more epic than Shin Godzilla. And Shin Godzilla was incredible 💯
Shin was soo good. TOHO should just keep Godzilla and kick Legendary for good.

Afraid of upsetting the snowflakes that want Godzilla to announce he's pronouns 🤡 TOHO don't need the money from gay Hollywood.

Pretty brutal and frightening, also strangely sad it actually brought a tear to my eye. I can't help but think your comment about the timing with the the release of the Oppenheimer film this year may not be entirely unfounded. Certainly one to check out whatever.

Also, the final shot of Godzilla makes it look like Godzilla is covered in lacerations. I wonder if he’s here’s to wreak some vengeance for nuclear testing at the Bikini Atoll or something where he’d been slumbering away peacefully or if maybe there was another Godzilla mate who was killed by the testing or something and he’s here for revenge. Or maybe those cuts were just from fighting with the humans. Just throwing out ideas.

It was GMK: Giant Monsters All Out Attack. In that movie, Godzilla's eyes are blank as he is being possessed by the collective will of those who died in WW2, to exact revenge on them.. Godzilla wasn't evil at all, his will was not his own

I love the Godzilla films, particularly the original, but if the intent is to demonize America, then the filmmakers need a history lesson.
I doubt that the intent is to demonize America considering Japan is such a close ally now but you must understand that Godzilla is a representation of the nuclear bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

I have to think it’s a prequel? The style of clothing, buildings and one of the characters wearing an old Japanese army uniform makes me think it’s pretty soon after WWII? Feels very Showa era.
This is a entirely different Godzilla film. It has no relation to Shin Godzilla.

This one seems more like the American version of Godzilla - I don't remember Godzilla being so close to civilians and stepping on them? But I hope it is not just a mindless monster movie. Godzilla is usually commentary on something else.

Well godzilla 2014 literally went dark and as usual hollywood being a pu$$y back tracked and now we have some disneyfied godzilla universe with over saturated colours and lame characters
