@MojoMilt Trust me Frank, I've been at this a year in March, and I still feel like there's a lot to learn. We are fortunate to be surrounded by such talent here...guys/gals that give us the ideas, motivation, and so much more.
hey there my friend so by the time you finish this year you will be making epic movie sketches like ADz.....will be looking forward to that.....love your vids and love the topics you choose. as i always say keep the vids rolling
Nice idea, John! I once did two takes for a video, because the original was cut short by an unexpected power failure. Other than that, I simply don't find the time to do more than the final one, perhaps editing it if necessary. However, this does explain why your videos are so perfected and enjoyable. It's great to discover the secrets of the trade from one of the greatest presenters around! Cheers, Bruno
I just found this vid, for some odd reason it was not in my inbox. Wow, you really put allot of work into your vids. I just turn it on and start talking, maybe there is my problem! *G* Great vid, cool to get a little more background on what you do my friend!
@ocpipeman Originally, I was going to walk out and set up for a fake video. When I saw the length of the vid, I cut that idea out and settled for a pic...funny how you interpreted that,...now I'm sad! LOL
Good for you mate - I know you've been to-ing and fro-ing about changing your presentation style, and I think it's cool that you've decided to keep evolving and innovating. Shooting my last video with my mate was at first really terrifying, but once you get started, you just get into "making video for youtube mode" and forget about the rest. ~Nick.
Love your videos. I'll never look at matches the same again though... Now I always say "matches 860" every time I reach for a match. Looking forward to the new style. Blessings!
@terryloveuk Thanks for your input Terry! I never expect to surpass some of the "Masters" here on RUclips, but I also feel I'd be cheating myself if I didn't dabble in some creativity.
@kb1nyd As many have pointed out, theres nothing wrong with a shoot & upload video. I must say though, I've enjoyed your recent multi-clip productions.
@DailyPuffer Lordy, I could have easily written that about you my friend...there are several presenters I'd like to learn from...and you would be first on my list.
I tell you what, you do the sit down videos like a pro! I do look forward to the new presentation format to come and I think you'll just fine with these as well.
The weekend preview seems like a good idea for keeping your upcoming video focused -- I think it's a good idea. And you know how I feel about Big 'n' Burley ;)
John, I liked the old format, sometimes simple is good, it's the content that matters and I've never felt that lacking in your vids. I look forward to your new style vids and I'm sure the quality of the content will remain will only get better as you'll have more scope. Please don't be too seduced by all the fancy editing tricks and have start and end credits that take up half the time - they're a wow the 1st time but after the 10th video not so much.
Interested to see the vids made up of clips throughout your day. It will probably be less "taxing" on the mind doing it this way and not having to prepare for one continous filming.
@PAPIPEGUY Well you are an excellent presenter yourself Mike! I've taken a lot of chances with some of my topics. I guess if you feel that something is important to discuss, it will come across in your video. Pushing yourself to make the vid is half the battle...for me anyway.
Love your videos no matter how you put them out. Being new, I know I have a lot to learn. Great style my friend - always look forward to Matches860 hitting my Inbox! Frank
John, that was fascinating. Really. If you DO start tripping over your words and getting off topic - you'll just be me! Oh, and as if your videos would EVER be uninteresting ... I think not! Sorry I'm a bit late with this! Steve
@Matches860 Hey, I didn't say stop growing creatively, we all need to do that I suppose, but I know how seductive 'shiny new toys' can be, (boy, do I know). I'm just saying because what I, (and it seems lots of other) love about your vids is the content, the message, and the (apparent) easy style you have as a presenter. Too much flashy tech can be distracting. I'm probably not expressing it well, I'm not trying to be discouraging, honest.
@JogiExperience Thanks you Jogi! Always enjoy watching you also!
@MojoMilt Trust me Frank, I've been at this a year in March, and I still feel like there's a lot to learn. We are fortunate to be surrounded by such talent here...guys/gals that give us the ideas, motivation, and so much more.
@backcountrypipe Thanks Mark, just trying to add a twist!
great set up, from the hip is great fun, your videos are always good a standard, in fact a high mark in content and quality
@LightYerPipe You're too kind (both of you). This will certainly sort itself out. I'm looking forward to spring already!
@bahumutx Thanks Matthew, it'll give me a little more room to play around, especially this time of year.

as i always say keep the vids rolling
@Texaspipester Hmmm, I need to get caught up on shout outs again too! Thanks!
@pipesmoker1969 Thank you Mark!
@41DegreesSouth That's very well put Nick. I'll have to remember that my first time out in a crowd.
@hendu3270 I don't know, it's all too new. The key (I think) is the editing...I don't know LOL.
@truckpipe Thanks a lot Gregg, I guess I just need to experiment.
@GTFiorano Jeeze, thanks for that great review of my vids...I hope I'm not making a mistake here!
@terryloveuk Point well taken Terry. If I get too flashy, or otherwise wander from past quality, let me know!
Thank for the insight. Love the coffee shot at the beginning. Enjoy your style very much, always interesting.
Regards
Mark

@SmokinPipeGuy Ahh, thank-you! I'm sure I'll still be somewhat consistent, so it's more like minor changes.
Thanks for sharing Matches! Interesting to find a little bit out about your preparation. I look forward to your future videos and revised format.
@Zewyz12 Thank you! I'm looking forward to it as well!
Great as always! I'm looking forward to your new format.
Cheers,
David
@burleyman40 Thanks David, the wheels are turning!
@jumbosilverette Yes, and thanks for reminding me I had some B&B left in the drawer!

Very cool John, cant wait to see your new videos.
@curiosidadesextrano Well that's very nice! I usually tend to just move along and say nothing...I'll have to use this one sometime LOL.
@snuggan1 We'll see where it goes...thanks Olle!

I like the format you've been using, looking forward to the new one.
I liked the behind the scenes look and I am sure the new format will be just as great!
-Matthew
Still time-traveling.
@ocpipeman My latest video is back in the yard...right where I'm most comfortable! :-)
Love your videos. I'll never look at matches the same again though... Now I always say "matches 860" every time I reach for a match. Looking forward to the new style. Blessings!
@Daftlilly1 You do extremely well at both vids and pipes my friend! I guess changing things up is really more for my benefit instead of my viewers.
@terryloveuk Thanks for your input Terry! I never expect to surpass some of the "Masters" here on RUclips, but I also feel I'd be cheating myself if I didn't dabble in some creativity.
You all ways seems real to me! Do them as you wish, I can honestly say I haven't seen one that was not enjoyable! thanks, gregg
@TheEnglishmanSmokes We all wanna be like the other guy! Thanks for the nice words Steve!
@kb1nyd As many have pointed out, theres nothing wrong with a shoot & upload video. I must say though, I've enjoyed your recent multi-clip productions.
@nsschmid Yeah, in Stogiefarts terms, ripping one is the starting point as well LOL.
@DailyPuffer Lordy, I could have easily written that about you my friend...there are several presenters I'd like to learn from...and you would be first on my list.
I tell you what, you do the sit down videos like a pro! I do look forward to the new presentation format to come and I think you'll just fine with these as well.
@MeerschaumMan Yeah, my ears tend to perk up when I hear the word mentioned too.
The weekend preview seems like a good idea for keeping your upcoming video focused -- I think it's a good idea. And you know how I feel about Big 'n' Burley ;)
@MrBlink182ishi Ahhhh, everyone has their own niche...ADz has nothing to worry about from anybody! I'd just like to spice my vids up a notch.
@dagnerperformance It'll be fun when I figure out how to do it LOL.

@TheAmericanStranger1 I've done a last minute video today which has convinced me I need to get out more...stay tuned!
RIP John Harden ,on January 28 ,2020
@ADzPipes After watching you the past few months, I value your opinion...I will find myself, this is like a quest!
That was not a criticism. Its just that the pic of the yard usually has you sitting in it. Its not the same without you init John. Blessings
Interested to see the vids made up of clips throughout your day.
It will probably be less "taxing" on the mind doing it this way and not having to prepare for one continous filming.

@3:32 I try to avoid saying, "Sit down and let it rip" just in case Jeff is watching.
Another great video, John!
Miss ya John.
Love your videos no matter how you put them out. Being new, I know I have a lot to learn. Great style my friend - always look forward to Matches860 hitting my Inbox!
Frank
@Matches860 So very true.
That last frame of the yard, without you sitting in it, just seems empty and wrong somehow.
YPTC jus hasn't been the same w/o Matches.
John, that was fascinating. Really. If you DO start tripping over your words and getting off topic - you'll just be me! Oh, and as if your videos would EVER be uninteresting ... I think not! Sorry I'm a bit late with this! Steve
If you like to do videos,do it.if you dont like,do it.
Take care.
Olle
Just saying hi!
