I've had a "strategy" where I simply hang around the basement entrance (If I'm Trapper, I set traps, if I'm someone else, it doesn't matter much) And almost all the time, when the exit gates are opened, someone, at least 1 person off the 4 Survivors come to me to t-bag/click, and then I reveal I had noed all along, and then their friends come to save them, but I have lightborn too, so no flashlight saves, and then I drag them down to the basement, and stupidly they don't cleanse the hex totem, and I down everyone. That, my friend, is what you call "being cocky" Not evaluating the risks, and not taking the chance to escape. Whenever I am Survivor, and everyone is at the gate, I book it for the gate, and if they die by delaying/not getting out fast enough, whatever, it is their own darn fault.
I love that there are two kinds of people in this situation: - The ones who are very greedy and trash talk the killer when they fell victims of this. - The ones who type gg knowing damn well they had many opportunities to leave but didn’t and accept that the killer was smart.

2 years later, and this is one of two videos that made me buy dead by daylight and the chains of hate chapter, keeping deathslinger as a personal favorite even now, the second half of the video makes me cry proud tears of upmost respect ggs, you absolute legend

I actually did something very similar to this recently. I was about to hook a Feng Min during the Endgame Collapse timer, then I realized I probably wouldn't be able to hook her in time, and she'd just wiggle out. So, in all of my big brain knowledge, I dropped her and let her crawl to the gate, knowing that she would die to the Endgame Collapse before she had the chance to bleed out. It was pure evil.
I did something a bit similar. As Trickster, I let all of the survivors bleed out. I was hoping for a snail race, but SOME inconsiderate Steve couldn’t crawl to the door.
Bloodwarden + standing inside the gate looking at the survivors is the most sadistic way to play and i fucking love it, you look them in the eyes, telling them without words that they are doomed
I had something like this happen once... Back when Deathslinger was first released, I had been playing as him on Oni's map. I had managed to hook and kill 2 of the survivors and they had managed to repair all but the final generator. I started patrolling the gens in a continuous loop, from one side of that raised shrine to the other I kept going on a patrol. I looped around for probably 10-15 minutes without ever seeing ANYONE... Not even scratchmarks. I actually started getting dizzy from patrolling so much. Finally I guess they managed to get the gen finished after going on and off so much. When the last gen finished I managed to hook one of the 2 remaining survivors and then the endgame began. I figured "Welp, I got 3. Gg." Then I thought to myself "I wonder..." I backed away from the hooked survivor and concealed myself in some of those bamboo bushes and just aimed toward the hook. I was there maybe 4 seconds when sure enough the other guy comes running perpendicular to my position gunning it for the hooked guy. I fired and... BLAM! I hit him with the spear and reeled him in. Then I hooked him and won the round. Immediately I was greeted to them cursing me out and accusing me of camping when I had literally been there maybe 4 seconds tops and I hadn't even expected him to come back since the gate was open behind me and I assumed he would leave. It was quite a proud moment considering their argument was that I should have been checking the other gate which was nowhere near the hook and if the gate on one end was already open and there was only 1 guy left running around, why would they be anywhere other than going for the hook or escaping alone. (I only had the Deathslinger's 3 unique perks and discordance equipped.)
“578 dbd killer players banned.” This guy has absolutely no life. Does he honestly spend that much time reporting and leaving a review on a steam page because they died to their own faults? They could’ve just left. I hope they get banned if false reports is a bannable offense. Edit: I see a lot of people saying “let’s all report this guy” and stuff. Don’t do that. Just because he deserves it doesn’t mean we should attempt to ban him. If someone who has the same name gets falsely reported and banned, I don’t want to be responsible. It’s best to just leave it alone. I’m not even certain if false reports is bannible, but I’m assuming it is. He’ll get banned eventually, just try not to give this guy attention. I’m sure that’s just what he wants. (Or don’t listen to me. Your life.)
Tremendous documentary. We witnessed here a side of human nature that could be described as "The fall". The survivors, so full of arrogance in their self-proclaimed victory, decide to go as far as humiliating their opponent so he supposedly feels even worse about himself, only to realise (too late) that this was their opponent's plan all along, and they fell for it completely. Such hard difference between two levels of pride makes it so the only way to feel better (and to regain a semblance of self-esteem) is to lash out at the one who outsmarted you (up to the insult and the blatant lie), making how naive you were even clearer. The amount of reaction is indeed proportional to the level of pride achieved by the survivor in question, with the most violent ones being the ones who "fell" from the highest pride level among the group. Such experience never lets your pride leave unscathed, but only few (the least violent, therefore the least arrogant, ones) will actually learn from it.
Imagine being angry at the killer, for not leaving when you had the chance. Is it really his fault that you didn't take the window of opportunity to just open the gate and leave? He literally waits for the timer to tick down with someone on the floor, which means it ticks even slower, which means even more time to leave. These people, survive with friends groups that is, are so irrational, they can't even accept that this is entirely their fault for not leaving with they had so very many chances to do so. I love this channel for pointing out how obviously self-important these people are.
I play SWF a lot and when smth like that happens, its my own fault for staying in their, i just shrugg it off and say gg and dont blame the killer. I only got myself to blame if i wait there. So yeah, dont throw all SWF Gamers in the same pot. There are idiots, like everywhere else.

Bro I remember doing something like this once with Michael. So I wasn't actually planning on killing anyone and was just trying to meme. I stood in front of the basement chest and waited for a survivor to come down, as soon as they started opening it I grabbed them and threw them on a hook. I instantly left the basement and wondered off cause I wanted the others to get her and escape, since I was just trolling and not actually trying to get kills. But eventually I noticed that even though I wasn't anywhere near basement, the others wouldn't get her, and she ended up dying. I went around, found the other survivors, and ended up killing them as revenge for leaving their teammate lmao. Keep in mind I'd been afk for a few minutes prior to hooking her, and they had plenty of time to do gens, but they didn't. I got a 4k that match by complete accident.

Poor timing too that the ONLY person doing gens popped the last one as I had noed on...the meg trio ate dirt after touching my purple map in the chest. I let the surv unhook that came down since she did gens while they goofed off. That surv escaped...the others continued to goof off around me...entity took em. --- Next match tho as basement guardian demo, the cheryl quickly offered me an item to unhook her greedy friends and I spared her and let the others go as they dropped the item they tried to yoink from me. They all then gave me headpats and left...tho i think they needed new pairs of pants. xD

I doubt it would work the same way with a custom squad, since then they know you're not afk. And even if they did, they'd probably just wait for you to come back and not do the gens.
I just love the fact that Mahonra's Account is private nowadays. Edit: It appears that there are two Mahonras, one is private with about 5,5 k hours on dbd, and the other one is openly visible with about 800 hours of dbd.

Sounds like every single one he played with, because that's a high amount for his hours - 650. Assuming one game is about 10 minutes short, taking out hours of queue and shit that makes every third killer he faces got reported by him for some reason only he knows about. Maybe every second one. Imagine being a salt mine so big that every killer in the game pisses you off somehow.
@@YourContractHasExpired Before I start, I hope this doesn't have to be said, but don't witch-hunt. I just found some information which might explain his behaviour, and thought to share it. I checked to see if I could find his profile out of curiosity and found one with "pls facecamp me if you realize i'm way better than you" as their description, had 702 hours in dbd (so the time lines up from 3 months ago); with their last time playing being 2 days ago. So unless it's a convincing fake account, I'd say it's the one. If it is them, I may have an explanation for their behaviour. Looking over their achievements, they only have obtained 55 achievements since 2018 in their 702 hours, all of which are for survivor. They have a sum total of 0 sacrifices as killer (based from the achievement "A Bite for the Entity") and have absolutely no progress towards any killer achievements whatsoever (including those which track rank). This heavily implies that they're still a rank 20 killer who has never played a single game as killer in 702 hours/2-3 years of playing the game. (I wonder if they have any bias? ) So knowing that his experience of the game only comes from as a survivor, he is a prime suspect of the "entitled survivor" mentality. He has never even touched killer, and thus, has absolutely no clue about what it's like for killers. In his mind, everything a killer does is probably solely to spite him and is a personal vendetta against him; when in actuality, the killer is just playing the game. If he wins, he probably shit talks the killer, belittles them and says something original like "gg ez baby killer". If he loses on the other hand, he blames the killer for not following the "rulebook", or hacking, or something of the sort; and then proceeds to report them and (in his mind) ban them.
I walked into a basement as survivor one game cause the heartbeat was stagnant and I was like wtf is going on is killer afk? I see a Deathslinger standing in the corner opposite the chest and ran out screaming to my friend who had shown me this video and we were freaking out laughing and squealing. One of the guys went into the basement to perfectly play this out so we noped out of there as fast as possible. The other two didn't make it.
Karimba Leofasa I actually spoke to a dev for a little bit earlier this week and he said they don’t even really look into reports on a person unless they’re reported multiple games in a row.
What I love about these videos is that it perfectly captures what is wrong with DbD. Survivors cry and complain when their own hubris gets them killed, and tries to make it look like they did nothing wrong. "Speedhacking", guy stood still in the basement for majority of the game. Or they really don't know about NOED's speed boost. "Time stalling", survivors stop doing gens to go troll, flashlight, hop in and out of lockers, etc instead of doing the objective. "Wallhack", what? At the exits? When there's bloodwarden? These are lessons, survivors. Complete your objective, and then leave. Side note, these videos are absolutely hilarious.
3. years. later. and i’m back here again, after not playing for a solid year due to losing interest. but, rewatching streamers & catching up with the new updates & characters, brought me back to remember this legendary video. and if i do end up playing once again, i want to replicate this build and remember & honour how it led me to this game all those years ago. still a fantastic video to this day, hasn’t lost an ounce of it’s charm. i sincerely hope that these past years have treated you nicely, DBD things. 💛

Im in my car omw on a 2 hour drive to work and for some reason decided to watch this video. The buildup, the music choice, the editing and the tension. This is the type of content that makes people enjoy a game alot more, its why games like elden ring are as big as they are. You will get lightbringer and unbreakable for free. Cleansing a totem and running 3 circles around the killer will get you a bronze token. Maybe silver. That is enough if I'm not wrong

@@kjgaming7095 He got whoever tried searching the basement chest, then hooked them once the gates were open and the endgame collapse was starting. Once they were on the hook and the survivors were trying to save and escape, they realize they can't because of his perk blood warden. When someone gets hooked while the gates are open, it makes it so they cannot escape. All four end up dying because they can't escape and endgame collapse finishes.
@@kjgaming7095 no he has to wait for around 25% or 30% (not sure how far exactly) of the endgame collapse. Otherwise the gates will unblock before the endgame collapse ends. Smart survivors would have just left as soon as they saw that noed was active, the killer opened the door and the downed survivor wasn't immediately hooked assuming the killer has blood warden. Then again, most survivors don't expect you to run blood warden but especially high ranks don't fall for it that easily. Blood warden was one of the reasons why survivors originally started 99ing the exit gates.

I actually did something very similar to this recently. I was about to hook a Feng Min during the Endgame Collapse timer, then I realized I probably wouldn't be able to hook her in time, and she'd just wiggle out. So, in all of my big brain knowledge, I dropped her and let her crawl to the gate, knowing that she would die to the Endgame Collapse before she had the chance to bleed out. It was pure evil.

I had something like this happen once... Back when Deathslinger was first released, I had been playing as him on Oni's map. I had managed to hook and kill 2 of the survivors and they had managed to repair all but the final generator. I started patrolling the gens in a continuous loop, from one side of that raised shrine to the other I kept going on a patrol. I looped around for probably 10-15 minutes without ever seeing ANYONE... Not even scratchmarks. I actually started getting dizzy from patrolling so much. Finally I guess they managed to get the gen finished after going on and off so much. When the last gen finished I managed to hook one of the 2 remaining survivors and then the endgame began. I figured "Welp, I got 3. Gg." Then I thought to myself "I wonder..." I backed away from the hooked survivor and concealed myself in some of those bamboo bushes and just aimed toward the hook. I was there maybe 4 seconds when sure enough the other guy comes running perpendicular to my position gunning it for the hooked guy. I fired and... BLAM! I hit him with the spear and reeled him in. Then I hooked him and won the round. Immediately I was greeted to them cursing me out and accusing me of camping when I had literally been there maybe 4 seconds tops and I hadn't even expected him to come back since the gate was open behind me and I assumed he would leave. It was quite a proud moment considering their argument was that I should have been checking the other gate which was nowhere near the hook and if the gate on one end was already open and there was only 1 guy left running around, why would they be anywhere other than going for the hook or escaping alone.
(I only had the Deathslinger's 3 unique perks and discordance equipped.)

Tremendous documentary. We witnessed here a side of human nature that could be described as "The fall".
The survivors, so full of arrogance in their self-proclaimed victory, decide to go as far as humiliating their opponent so he supposedly feels even worse about himself, only to realise (too late) that this was their opponent's plan all along, and they fell for it completely.
Such hard difference between two levels of pride makes it so the only way to feel better (and to regain a semblance of self-esteem) is to lash out at the one who outsmarted you (up to the insult and the blatant lie), making how naive you were even clearer. The amount of reaction is indeed proportional to the level of pride achieved by the survivor in question, with the most violent ones being the ones who "fell" from the highest pride level among the group.
Such experience never lets your pride leave unscathed, but only few (the least violent, therefore the least arrogant, ones) will actually learn from it.

Bro I remember doing something like this once with Michael. So I wasn't actually planning on killing anyone and was just trying to meme. I stood in front of the basement chest and waited for a survivor to come down, as soon as they started opening it I grabbed them and threw them on a hook. I instantly left the basement and wondered off cause I wanted the others to get her and escape, since I was just trolling and not actually trying to get kills. But eventually I noticed that even though I wasn't anywhere near basement, the others wouldn't get her, and she ended up dying. I went around, found the other survivors, and ended up killing them as revenge for leaving their teammate lmao. Keep in mind I'd been afk for a few minutes prior to hooking her, and they had plenty of time to do gens, but they didn't. I got a 4k that match by complete accident.

I let the surv unhook that came down since she did gens while they goofed off. That surv escaped...the others continued to goof off around me...entity took em.

Next match tho as basement guardian demo, the cheryl quickly offered me an item to unhook her greedy friends and I spared her and let the others go as they dropped the item they tried to yoink from me. They all then gave me headpats and left...tho i think they needed new pairs of pants. xD

Before I start, I hope this doesn't have to be said, but don't witch-hunt. I just found some information which might explain his behaviour, and thought to share it.
I checked to see if I could find his profile out of curiosity and found one with "pls facecamp me if you realize i'm way better than you" as their description, had 702 hours in dbd (so the time lines up from 3 months ago); with their last time playing being 2 days ago. So unless it's a convincing fake account, I'd say it's the one.
If it is them, I may have an explanation for their behaviour.
Looking over their achievements, they only have obtained 55 achievements since 2018 in their 702 hours, all of which are for survivor. They have a sum total of 0 sacrifices as killer (based from the achievement "A Bite for the Entity") and have absolutely no progress towards any killer achievements whatsoever (including those which track rank). This heavily implies that they're still a rank 20 killer who has never played a single game as killer in 702 hours/2-3 years of playing the game. (I wonder if they have any bias?
)
So knowing that his experience of the game only comes from as a survivor, he is a prime suspect of the "entitled survivor" mentality. He has never even touched killer, and thus, has absolutely no clue about what it's like for killers. In his mind, everything a killer does is probably solely to spite him and is a personal vendetta against him; when in actuality, the killer is just playing the game. If he wins, he probably shit talks the killer, belittles them and says something original like "gg ez baby killer". If he loses on the other hand, he blames the killer for not following the "rulebook", or hacking, or something of the sort; and then proceeds to report them and (in his mind) ban them.
I walked into a basement as survivor one game cause the heartbeat was stagnant and I was like wtf is going on is killer afk? I see a Deathslinger standing in the corner opposite the chest and ran out screaming to my friend who had shown me this video and we were freaking out laughing and squealing. One of the guys went into the basement to perfectly play this out so we noped out of there as fast as possible. The other two didn't make it.

What I love about these videos is that it perfectly captures what is wrong with DbD. Survivors cry and complain when their own hubris gets them killed, and tries to make it look like they did nothing wrong. "Speedhacking", guy stood still in the basement for majority of the game. Or they really don't know about NOED's speed boost. "Time stalling", survivors stop doing gens to go troll, flashlight, hop in and out of lockers, etc instead of doing the objective. "Wallhack", what? At the exits? When there's bloodwarden? These are lessons, survivors. Complete your objective, and then leave.
Side note, these videos are absolutely hilarious.

and i’m back here again, after not playing for a solid year due to losing interest. but, rewatching streamers & catching up with the new updates & characters, brought me back to remember this legendary video.
and if i do end up playing once again, i want to replicate this build and remember & honour how it led me to this game all those years ago. still a fantastic video to this day, hasn’t lost an ounce of it’s charm.

@@Impalingthorn nope 4 survivor need 5 gens for it to spawn, 3 survivors/4 gens, 2 Survivors/ 3 gens and it always spawns when there is only one survivor left
@@SamyKichou you can make it even simple by saying, when the number of generators repaired is bigger that the number of survivors in the match unless there is only 1 survivor remaining

@Balloon Lagoon I don’t think so because Scott Jund, Zubatlel, Umbra, and other good Huntress’ do that so they can get an easy kill.

Im in my car omw on a 2 hour drive to work and for some reason decided to watch this video.
The buildup, the music choice, the editing and the tension. This is the type of content that makes people enjoy a game alot more, its why games like elden ring are as big as they are. Content like this is what pushes videogames to greatness, i haven’t watched a vid this good in a while. Props to you my man , in a community where toxicity thrives , talent will always prevail lol💪🏼

yeah kinda. Cause no one will receive points for actually playing the game. Even if 3 people constantly did all 5 gens together they would lose pips after escaping/dying. It's a very scumbag strategy lol but it's fun to watch if I was not on those games XD
@@aylagoncalves9555 You can farm afk killers, do the gens and just stand in front of him constantly for chase points. Only thing you won't really get is altruism points
You will get lightbringer and unbreakable for free. Cleansing a totem and running 3 circles around the killer will get you a bronze token. Maybe silver. That is enough if I'm not wrong

@@Finalshadic you don't get enough points from those with an afk killer. Not enough totens for everyone and since there's 4 survivors not being chased, gens will be done fast and you won't get all of the objective points. You guys are blind or what? Lol

@@kjgaming7095 He got whoever tried searching the basement chest, then hooked them once the gates were open and the endgame collapse was starting. Once they were on the hook and the survivors were trying to save and escape, they realize they can't because of his perk blood warden. When someone gets hooked while the gates are open, it makes it so they cannot escape. All four end up dying because they can't escape and endgame collapse finishes.
But is the endgame collapse 60 seconds?
@@kjgaming7095 ok I just looked it up, and Blood Warden tier 3 lasts for 60 seconds.
@@kjgaming7095 no he has to wait for around 25% or 30% (not sure how far exactly) of the endgame collapse. Otherwise the gates will unblock before the endgame collapse ends. Smart survivors would have just left as soon as they saw that noed was active, the killer opened the door and the downed survivor wasn't immediately hooked assuming the killer has blood warden. Then again, most survivors don't expect you to run blood warden but especially high ranks don't fall for it that easily. Blood warden was one of the reasons why survivors originally started 99ing the exit gates.
Killer: *afks in the basement then uses noed to get ppl during end phase.*
Survivors: *doesn't check totems and gets an item from the basement, where killer is, resulting in death of everyone.*
Also survivors: *baby cries; russian slurs; speedhacker / wallhacker / bug abuser / lag switcher / hitbox abuser / enjoy ban*
