He is correct.. Money is not all about happiness.. Money can give you 99%.. That 1% which make that happiness complete are loyal people around us (friends/ partner) who understand you .. Bcuz humans are social being.. They cannot survive without helping each other physically , emotionally and mentally..
A great conversation with a great personality, he is a blessing to our world.
Money and Happiness are not related after basic things are taken care of. It answered my doubt that why super rich celeb go through depression, get into drugs and how come farmers are happy and celebrate life with togetherness. Its indeed true. In village, no one may be rich but their whole life is celebration. In city, people are rich confined in their flats

If only you are able to fulfil your basic needs. Living like a majdoor isn't gonna give you any happiness. You should at least be able to -
send your kids to school, live in a decent looking house with Tv/AC/Fridge/Washing Machine, pay electricity bills, buy a Smartphone/PC, Buy a car that costs under Rs.10 Lakh, eat good food, wear good clothes, afford a plane ticket, afford a foeign trip for at least once in life, marry your kids without taking loan, buy medicines and get proper health checkups/treatments on time. And you should still be able to save some money and should not have any debt on you.
Anything beyond that is luxury. Of course I don't have any aspirations to become Bill Gates or Elon Musk.
But glorifying or romanticising slums and Poverty is wrong. Because people living there are not able to fulfil basic needs.😮
@@vipulgarg8575 just go wild thing ur in forest . Just walk and do your works many personal goals and set certain boundaries for yourself and celebrate every moment…
Life is nothing and if you aim at something that is everything..
Don’t go crazy don’t be afraid just ur wild … not ac not lavish lifestyle brings you happiness..

The interview was very interesting to watch. The questions raised by Sharan were all relevant. Gurudev is not just a, guru. He is God incarnate and the almighty. Yet He is the friendliest and most jovial guru i have ever seen. I have never seen Him getting irritated or angry even once in my life. Our guruji richly deserves the country's highest award viz., Bharat Ratna. Of course this award doesn't mean anything for Him. It is an honour for His devotees all over the world. It is high time the Indian government bestows upon Him the award.

This is so great knoweledge with so much lightness.. the one who knows it deep can only guide you. I have seen Sri sri and thr amount of work that the organization is doing.. Money is just a part of every organization and living but they really walk the talk.. they give happiness, service, support and much more..

Gurudev Ravi Shankar is truly a master in simplifying all those complications in our lives and showing ways of surmounting them. Thank you for this video. After having crossed sixty years of existence in this lifetime, with all the experiences becoming just memories, it was wonderful to be able to relive some of them through the questions by the young man and the responses of guruji. Many of the points offered by Gurudev, actually happened for me, therefore quite a few of the questions raised here no longer become major issues for me especially in terms of human relationships.
Brilliant Podcast, Sharan asked some really good questions and answers by Gurudev are transformative. Thank you for this.

Been following Sharan since I saw the video about inflation index for housing across the world, and in India.
Truly wise knowing soul, consciousness component of life is absolutely perfect and clean and no one is privileged to change /alter any aspects of atma/soul. So we are left with only physical body /materialism /our thoughts and activities to play around. So it's responsibility of every sensible to play with Good intentions only.

This is such an interesting difference highlighted that yes money is important, but it is not the end goal to achieving happiness. In the one pointed quest for money people often leave behind relationships and ruthlessly disconnect from their heart. I have experienced it and have found the ones who don’t have millions, working hard , keeping their scruples, being kind and smiling. In the basti where my Bengali lady Help comes from , I see them celebrate, support, connect and also coordinate events of knowledge and learning with Kirtan and Prashad after. It is done with great love and dignity. Money makes life easier definitely, the people in slums work to meet their basic needs, but I have seen them rejoice and share with dignity, love and respect . I agree with Sri Sri. I have seen those smiles he talks of and the depression of the well to do also.
