I saw the thumbnails on YT, didn’t care. Downloaded it on my laptop I brought to High School with me for the heck of it. Played it blind and wow. Then I successfully tricked my friend into playing it and he liked it until he found out I tricked him and now he’s scarred. I will never be able to pull that off again on him, but I’m fine with these results.

Pretty sure baldi’s basics was literally made as a joke in a day, and then the internet took it by storm. As a shitpost, it’s great! As a story horror game? No!

Yeah I'll definitely work on the horror aspect of Baldi's Basics for the full game. Ultimately my main focus is on trying to make the gameplay itself fun, since I know the horror element can only last so long in a game like Baldi's Basics and I want to ensure there's still something enjoyably weird left over once the horror does wear off.

Hey man, sorry about the harsh tone while talking about Baldi! The main thing I didn’t like was that it took very little time to establish itself as an old school educational game and kind of just jumps right into the “horror” aspect. That just didn't really feel right to me to be honest. None of the games covered in the video are really my thing at all and the tone was supposed to be more so jokey than informative, even though everything said was still my real opinion. While it's really not for me, an incredibly large amount of people are obviously really into the game so seriously keep it up!

When I played DDLC, I knew what was gonna happen since I spoiled myself to the game via Game Theory (and found out the game was free, instead of costing money like I thought it did). Despite knowing the story, the events in the game were still really effective. That's why I'm a big fan of the game.

i played Minecraft with my boyfriend because that's like the only game my old notebook can handle and we wanted something to play together. I was so ridiculed for that and next year the revival came and guess who loves to play Minecraft now 🙄 it's not cool to hate on it anymore
The irony here is that minecraft’s kinda dying again now. The top video for gaming on RUclips is usually fortnite, and sometimes minecraft. I guess people didn’t want to watch when pewdiepie stopped playing. For instance, Luke TheNotable’s 1000 days hit #41 on trending that same day.

Doki Doki also has a whole subgame where you can screw with in game files to do stuff. Like, there's all kinds of secret dialogue you can access by deleting certain files at certain points. If you delete all the "Character Files" before you start the game, the game will just straight up end right then and there. The game opens normally with you waiting for Sayori, and then nothing happens. Then there's some monologue about how your character is trapped and then it crashes
was the game updated? if i delete the character files at the start of the game sayori freaks out and crashes. iirc there's only a few times where the game checks for its files

People really don’t know about how much Doki Doki Lit Club fucked with the competitive melee community. Dan Salvato Creator Of the 20XX hack pack (the most popular melee mod at the time) announced he was making a game and that he was gonna announce it soon. The theories ran wild but the consensus from the community was that he was gonna make a new platform fighter by the community for the community. Then he announced DDLC and released it the same day. The community felt like they were slapped in the face. I’m happy for Dan tho, the game blew the fuck up
The Smash community has an entitlement problem at times. And a problem with theories getting out of control.
There's no entitlement there, Dan Salvato was fresh off releasing 20XX Tournament Edition when he announced he made a game studio so he was a game developer that was very prominent in the smash community and really only known in the smash community. His work up to that point was all in the community. That's why we thought he was gonna make something along the lines of a smash clone, it makes a bunch of sense.
