I could listen to Darragh all day, he's quality on Talksport and was fab today, straight-talking and heart on sleeve stuff - great discussion, keep up the good work
I really enjoyed that very refreshing to see it from a chairman level disagree on afew things robbo being 1 very interesting fella ….be good company on a night out out🍻
It's wonderful hearing someone else (Darragh Macanthony) pointing out the glaringly obvious point that we need a first team quality left back. When I saw a utility player who's new to the EPL, Ferdi Kadioglu, blow a strike past Tsimikas to score the first goal in the Brighton match (on 02 Nov 24), I knew that we've got a real problem at that position. As Darragh also pointed out, we need to sign players to cover other positions, but, for me, we have a serious problem area at left back.
For all his money what a lovely down to earth guy Darragh is, great knowledge of the game, gave his perspective of our three contract players, agree with his view on Ribertson, I posted few months back because of possible age, injuries I felt this would be his last season as first choice left bacj, I already knew about Darragh through Barry Fry through my local national league side Barnet, very interesting read about Barry Fry and his on of working relationship with ex Ticket tout Stan Flashman, older viewers will be aware who he wzs.really enjoyed this get together and would be hopeful of possible future invites onto Anfield Agenda
Love that you've got Darragh into the fold and hope it becomes a regular team up.... ps apologies about using the word 'biased' in regard to your Jota view last night, if anything it's probably myself being biased toward Nunez being a bust in my view for the job/expectation and price he was bought for.
Great podcast Craig, love listening to two Irishmen just having a chat, would love for you to bring on Darragh to the Red Mist podcast in the future as I think he'd fit well as a guest and I'd love to see the conversations between him and Lee.
@@AnfieldAgenda np lad, your content has helped me through tough times and although I don't always agree with your opinions on certain players but I respect where you're coming from with those opinions. Keep up the great work Craig.
We are probably 3 quality squad players off being a very strong squad and team. However we lose Salah, Trent or Virgil it's a massive blow IMO. these guys are our game changers, Virgil is still one of the best defenders in the world and a leader at the back. Trent everyone will argue on the defencive side of his game but his passing, corners, free kicks have won us games on a regular basis. Salah his impact is obvious and take away his goals and assists input it's obvious he will probably be the hardest to replace. Just incredibly negligent from the club to be in a position of potentially losing all 3 of our most influential players.
@steverichards7623 what a ridiculous statement to make. Even if those players heads have been turned, the club could of and should of entered talks with all 3 of them with 2 years left on their current contracts, if they then refuse to commit to those extensions then you sell them. All 3 of those players sold with 2 years still left on their contracts could of brought in over 200m and used to strengthen like we did with Coutinho, took the big money bought Alisson and Virgil and became a better team as a result of doing so. Leaving negotiations until this point where all 3 can leave for free or strengthen their negotiations point for more wages comes from the top not overseeing something of massive importance and consequences if not done properly. Nothing lazy about pointing out the obvious, they make all the big decisions and final say on everything, it is their responsibility to ensure the cogs in the wheel below them are doing what they are supposed to do, and by allowing a situation under their ownership like this where instead of making sure our biggest assets are tied down way before their going into final year of contract. Who decided to allow Klopp to much say in the contracts and transfer business? Who employed a temporary sporting director that got us in this position by not negotiating sooner? Exactly the decisions that's led to this come from the top, so to say its lazy to point out this, is ridiculous.
@steverichards7623 agenda? 🤣 I have zero agenda, just because in my opinion the owners are in fact to blame mostly for this situation doesn't have to mean I have an agenda, grow up. If there as offers to these players before now then who knows but it doesn't change the fact that they have allowed 3 players, 3 of our most valuable players, to go into the final year of contract. It is more than obvious that you then can lose a player for free at the end of that year, so they should of made a decision 2 years ago whether to keep them and allow this to happen or sell them for the best interest of the club for over 200m. If a players refusing to sign an extension before his last season it's seriously not hard to understand the problem that then causes, like exactly the situation we are in now.
Trent thinks the grass is greaner on the other side but trent has to look at jorden Henderson he came back to the UK we all love mo virgil and trent please stay and fsg get them signed x ❤️ x ❤️ x ❤️
Everybody scratching their heads about why FSG haven't had the contracts sorted yet, meanwhile they're scraping all the money they can together to buy an NBA club and invest in the PGA... Our money is being used elsewhere, mock my words. We've made 150 mil pounds profit in transfers and loosened 18 mil pounds in yearly wages. What other explanation is there? We don't have stadium upgrades or nothin.
It's our SCROOGEBAG OWNERS that we have to worry about VAN DIJK and SALAH said they'll stay but again as you said it's all about TRENT and i think he wants to leave for REAL MADRID..
Oh we’re back here, even though we produce quality players regardless of what we spend but we can only be world class by buying for £150+ million and are paying £350-400k a week. Take down all your videos boasting of our net spend you weapon

Love the content with Darragh. I hope we can have him on the show more frequently!
I’ll try my best to get Darragh back on before the season ends. He’s a very busy man but he’s always been so good to us with his time

I would love to see Peterborough in the Premier league. I lived in Peterborough back in 2006.

Great show, loved it.

When the owner of another club talks of Liverpool as ‘we’, I can get behind his club!
Nice shirt Darragh
We need to get Ben Doak back, his on fire at Middleborough. Electric .
He’s electric because he’s playing week in week out… if he comes back we won’t play unless he takes Mo’s place 🤷🏼♂️
@@kevalino2 His doing well on bothe wings, some times on the left and sometimes on the right .Thats a skill we need .
