Thanks for sharing your sketchbook with us. Some of the parts that captured my attention were 6:07 (toothbrushes) 10:49 (girl on the cloud--very creative) 14:58 (the hands are great) 16:50 (this is very good) 18:57 (I love watercolor) 20:40
I have been drawing events from my days in a sketchbook these last few weeks..i just drew a scene last night from a few weeks ago, of being on the highway heading to the ranch and we were behind heavy traffic and there was this truck in front of us that had a cow drawn on the rear doors! So I took a photo and then last nightcI drew it. It was also the first day that our usual exit was closed. I have also drawn my yoga mat in the park too..
That sounds like a wonderful way to document your days! Depending on the context, I find that the drawings capture more of the memory than a photo could have. But taking a photo to be able to draw the scene later is so handy!
Hi. 👋🏾 I loved so much about these. You are right, about the 2009 shoes: sometimes you can draw something and it provides a memory that words can't. I think I might go back to sketching this coming year, if I can find the time. Very inspiring! 🙂
Thank you so much for your kind words. Looking back at my journals, I often find the pages that have drawings on them the most meaningful and it doesn't matter if the perspective is wonky or proportions and anatomy are questionable. I hope you can find the time to add a little doodle here and there :)
oh wow, thank you for sharing these! it's amazing to see the growth, not just in your drawings, but in your style and journaling method. i just started journaling as well and would love to hear some prompts for next year!

That's wonderful! I should draw more horses, there's quite a few around where I live.
