Hug was always my all-time favorite fighter but the right hand on Bernardo was just devastating. Had my guy performing ballet for a minute there. I remember seeing this back then and thinking.. “ohhhh noooo.. “ It was just brutal. But that’s typically what occurred when you caught a right hook from Bernardo across the side of your head. Thankfully Hug got him back the next year, but man.. Bernardo had such a dangerous right hand.
Andy was always at the light end of being a heavyweight plus his 5'11" height and many of his heavyweight opponents had a weight and size advantage over him. Seeing him and Mike in the same ring looks like a huge weight mismatch and Mike was a huge puncher.
So shitty that is not a KO to begin with, its a TKO where the referee stops the fight.....also get yourself punched by a 120kg power puncher in the ear area once and see how it feels like, you will love it

Well-placed counter punch behind the left ear, threw his equilibrium off. Bernardo was certainly a bruiser, great punch and stoppage by the Ref.

JUst watched this .... i feel so sorry for Mike, legend everywhere except in SA, and especially in Cape Town. May he rest in peace.

ベルナルドはパンチ力に目が行きがちだけど、スピードの速さこそ彼の武器だったと思う。単純なパンチ力、特にストレート系ならバンナの方が上だったと思うが、フック＋アッパーで詰めるベルナルドのスピードはトップファイターの中でも一線を画していた。
