Bovi - The Grand Affair Видеоклипы
It's so cute how you treat your violin as a little puppy. I love it! Now I remember why I subscribed to you a few months ago!
Don't feel too bad. I once had a 12 string guitar that I had tuned to tightly and it bowed the neck. I tried to get it repaired, but the man said that the guitar was ruined and would only make a good plant bowl. :-(
Well you got a good plant bowl out of it at least.
I didn't know this channel returned until this video. Welcome back! Your friend seems absolutely amazing, radiating with positivity. Happy to see you're doing alright and keeping great company.
I am French and I love your videos . Continue your videos .
This channel is incredible! I am a guitar player myself but my youngest sister just started playing the violin and I have shown her this channel (started with the progress videos) and she loves it!
Make more mistakes....I need to learn more!!!! :)
ThyBountyHunter lol
@Watson Zain Really your account is made on the 6th, a person replying to your illegal activity then replies and thanks you in a comment I made a year ago and their account was created on the 5th.
Feel that I need to report this for what it is. Have fun.
Funny video! I'll definitely visit the luthier when I want to install octave strings on my viola. I won't even try it myself, lol. 😆
You're the most organized person i've ever seen... And your videos are very intersting as well😊. you are always prepared of what you are buying, to fix something, designing, practicing, etc.👍
This violin shop guy seemed pretty nice :D i just wonder how he can survive i mean hes not selling bridges every day i guess xD
M3h3ndr3 lol
It's the most popular music store in Oslo. I'm sure they make enough money.
yea i think the same, the man look cool and nice, but anyway pay 100 dolars by a bridge make him not so cool finally hahahah, naaah, i know that that kind of works are expensive
Oh, i can relate! I once tried as a newbie to file down some sharp frets on my guitar and did some damage on the neck. Luckily , the luthier at the music-shop fixed it and very politely asked me to never do that again! xD
She’s such a beautiful good friend.
Jo Di- Jo Jo ikr
Ha : Even though I felt sorry for you I really loved how well you took it with a smile. :)
Some people commented on the bridge price the luthier asked, arguing that it's very expensive.
Actually, no, it really is not.
I'm a professional luthier too, it's not the cost of the bridge piece but the workmanship. Prices may vary depending on the location luthier lives and cost of living. A pro grade violin bridge itself costs about 30-40 euros and there are cheaper options available too. But a bridge blank comes in unusable raw form. It needs to be worked on quite methodically to be ready. First it's fitted absolute exactness to the curvature of the belly, which is one of the most delicate steps in violin making. We literally take onionskin shavings from the feet, without any haste, gradually shaping them to exact curvature. Otherwise the instrument will never sound good. This alone takes most of the fitting time.
Then the bridge needs to be lowered for the right action, thinned and carved in a lot of places for weight reduction and better sound. All of them are specificialy designated areas regarding the violin, player and the bridges wood characteristics. There are a lot of places on the bridge need to be adjusted and carved to specific sizes and shapes. No random shaping. When shaving, carving and filing we work in the sensivity of the tenth of milimetres. Let's say, if a section needs to be 16mm, it has to be 16mm, it cannot be 16,1mm or 15,9mm. So it's not just buying a blank and putting on the instrument as it is. And you cannot switch instruments' bridges amongst themselves since every bridge is fitted for that individual instrument.
Depending on the luthier it may take a few hours to half a day for preparing a violin bridge. Being a luthier is not easy, you get college education on music and instrument playing, technical drawing, woodworking, acoustic physics, chemistry, foreign language, etc for four years, and even do master's degree like me. Instrument making tools are very expensive. Making a violin takes months. Heavy repairs and restorations take weeks. So think of us as instrument doctors, not common wood workers. In the end you are paying for our time and expertise. I hope this gives a little insight about the subject.
Yay! More content!!
Great video.
That sound great I hope you that you got your violin fixed
You are amazing.
I hope you get your Octave Violin back for a cover.
In older videos I heard you playing the violin and... Wow. You said somewhere, that you play the violin since April 2013. I began to play the violin only four months earlier, but you play much better than I do 😅🎻
Nice
This is a good video
Crazy how the bridge - one of the smallest pieces on it - is probably much more expensive proportionally to the rest of the instrument
It can be, but getting new pegs can be expensive , and you can spend more than that on a set of strings, but I agree, it looks like it can be cheaper. I do know that you can get the bridge blanks pretty cheap; what you are actually paying for is the talent of the guy fitting it to your violin. :)
You are so adorable when you cringe at your mistakes, VN!
Also, I really want to hear you play Paganini someday!
Ouch! That is a painful lesson.
Yep
You should stream on Twitch. Just your practice sessions, maybe sign language as well. I'd 100% watch and sub for sure.
Spending 100 usd to give us a new video. Such dedication.
Bella!!!
good to know
So next episode please! Ha det bra!!
"845 kr"

*"OKEH"*
Wating for New vedio.🙌🙋
omg..98 dollars? What bridge was that?
Costs more in Norway I guess :P
Matheus Albuquerque lol most luthiers carve them out from a base bridge for custom fit for that instrument and particular strings, that might be why, otherwise yeah kinda pricey
That's what I'm asking ?
They cost about the same here in the U.S.
@@oldfogeymusic4248 My last one was $250. I could have gone somewhere else and gotten one for about $75, but I have gotten one from him before and it made a big difference, so but once, cry once.
That was hell expensive! Hahahahaha.
I'm from brazil and You play Very good. (I learning English)

You have a very good friend :)
You remind me very much of Lindsey))) I wish you success!
but at least you tried
You’re so cute though😻 I wouldn’t try to make a set up like that in my violin.. so scary😁
Where are u ??
I NEED MORE VIDEOS
Where new video??
Voce e Muito linda
Glad you got the bridge thing worked out. Of course, we all learn there are limits to how much we should try to DIY, and we all have to pay for competent professional fixes at one point or other. This may seem like a silly question, but it seems like everybody in Norway speaks perfect English. Did you and the guitar tech guy start out talking in English, or did you both switch to English for this video?
I love
Could you please play Dust in The Wind pleeeeease! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
linda, linda de mais!
is there a video on how you learned violin? was it by yourself?
Changing my cords my bridge fell, i put it in place and it plays great, dunno what is the trick.
Pamela Suarez Hi Pamela, I'm glad your bridge only fell down :) A bridge that falls down is easily righted, a bridge that you physically change by making the grooves deeper is ruined unless you know what you are doing. There's a reason a new bridge is rather costly! Happy playing!
What about swapping the nice bridge to the regular violin? Surely it's nicer than the one on it, unless you've swapped that already as well?
Aw, you should have conned him into playing some of those violins in the case. They looked expensive. It would have made great content.
When you tried your best,b ut you don't succed
Hi !!! I hope you were fine !! I want you to know the better way to Learn is making mistakes :D. Keep doing this because you are the inspiration for many people. By the way, you looks beautiful !! Have a nice day !! :D
I just want to know how much it
I wanna ask you about your all violins that you used before ? .. and what is your violin now ? ..
Lucky for you. You got a teka model chinrest, i can't find the cheaper once in southeast asya were i live in the philippines. If i buy that type of chinrest in different country the price is getting higher😓. I get so jealous of your old violin chinrest. But atleast i learn your mistakes😂😅

Which method or book did you use to learn the violin?
How many violins do you have?
I have 4 😁 Didnt use this anymore, which is why I thought I could fix it myself😅
1:26 lol right after the G string is played the first note from the song is G too

What city are you studying in? :)

I'm french, I didn't understand what happened... Someone can explain me please...?
On the bridge and nut of the violin, there are grooves for the strings. She tried to cut the grooves on the bridge to fit the strings but made the sound worse. So now she has to replace the bridge.
She tried to turn her violin with different strings into a cello and her violin did not like it 😔
Okay thank you👌
We are still waiting for an update on your baby, instrument
I am enjoying your violin journey and humorous video's. do they say " Cute as a bugs ear" where you live? Anyway thanks for sharing !
No, we don't say that. :p
I tried them
new bridge is like 8 to 10 dollar in Turkey.
From here i could see that your bridge was uneven
0:56 You speak English to your fellow Norwegian?
My last new bridge was $250. Of course it sounds amazing with the new bridge, so worth it, but $98 is not so bad.
:)
😃
now i am the broken one
Please, what's the name of the shop?
2:07 A new bridge costs $98
Does she have a fancy violin or one of those that are around $98 and come with 2 bows and an extra bridge?
@@Cloxxki No it's a student Violin strung w/ Octave Strings.
don't fret, dear. i modify my guitars and basses all the time. most of the time it works sometimes it doesn't; it's not always pretty.

You can do it yourself. Not difficult
why you stop updating your channel baby! Been waiting for ages to hear you again 😭
You make me feel uncomfortable as a person. Now i need to go for a walk and think about happy and non creepy things
I know. "Baby"? What the hell? She's a grown woman and a stranger to him. Creepy as fuck. :p
New bridge for 98$???? That's too expensive ...
ApoC exactly!! I was screaming when he said the price
It's not the bridge that is expensive, but the craftmanship it takes to cut it exactly to the size of the violin and optimise the sound. It looks like this simple tiny piece of wood, but there are a lot of important details to it.
Yeah, and don't forget this is Norway. Cost of living is higher than in most countries.
