Thanks for mentioning you need to "splash" for colorless mana, i had forgotten you can't just put wastes in your deck like you can with other basic lands
@@danielodonovan7017 Wastes are a special land even though they have the basic land type. They are originally from Oath of the Gatewatch and you had to draft them there if you wanted to play them. If it helps you think about it, you can kind of think of Wastes like Snow lands from Kaldheim (or other Snow sets). Snow lands are also basic lands, but you have to draft them if you want to play them in your deck.

There are some excellent cards! The good news about this set is that it is coming to MTG Arena at the same price as drafting a normal set there, so if you draft on MTG Arena you'll probably get to play it! I think it is rather expensive in paper though.

I've been watching plenty of prerelease unboxing videos, and I'm quite interested to see how things shape out, I've been trying to guestimate exactly what's going to come out on top and its a hard tell, Cranial Ram is a really good card, but I don't see a lot of artifacts coming to justify using it in draft

I think Cycling to make a bunch of 1/1s and draw a card would be great in some sets. I'm not sure if this is the environment for it though, as it may be a bit small ball.

Just treat them as a separate color. 6th colorless color, separate from the rest
I like the double sided dual lands have a theme of mana flood, harvesting, and clearing out.
They're not all like that, but it's a cool thing to notice for the ones that have that feature in their names!
Those common 6 drops would be absolute bombs in normal sets. I’m excited to draft this set, hope I can afford it !
