gregor mackenzie I am skeptical of co-written songs, especially when the person is more famous for looking young and pretty and dancing well than their actual voice--- I feel like that's more of a way to get more residuals than it is a sign they actually contributed significantly to the creative process. To me Britney Spears is like Jennifer Lopez vocally: a unique but not particularly awesome voice, and someone that has to put in effort to sound decent live. Britney came along at the right time to be a huge pop star, and managed to sell herself and her skills excellently, but talent-wise is nothing special. ymmv, of course!
