Looks like a typical roman praetorian guard captain 😂. Anyway, I’m glad he finally got the euro cup this time.
This was a France team in rebuilding phase. Their last trophy in 2000, it took 18 years to win something big again.
Similar to Italy post 2008. Italy was in transition in Euro 2012, WC 2014 & Euro 2016.
And now it they have won a major trophy again.
Interestingly currently, both Spain & Germany are in a rebuilding phase. But Spain is a bit more polished.
The stronger & established Euro team now is definitely France.
It would be interesting to see in World Cup 2020, with stronger Spain (they had striker issue, same with Italy), established France, question marks for team such as Germany, Netherlands, Portugal and how Italy gonna carry their momentum.

Portugal became champions despite finishing third in a really easy group (the didn't even win a group game) and only won 1 game out of 7 in 90 minutes. That is just awful. The Euro 2008 Spain team were one of the best teams ever in international football.

Quella del 2008 credo sia stata l’ultima Italia composta da veri fuoriclasse e da quella generazione di calciatori tanto amati per noi tifosi anni ‘90 cresciuti con i Buffon, Del Piero, Pirlo, etc.

@@NIDELLANEUM Guarda, io penso che quella vittoria fu casuale, dovuta ad una serie di coincidenze e circostanze che capitano una volta nella vita.
Poi sicuramente il gruppo ha fatto la sua parte ed in parte è stato determinante, ma come si suol dire… “prima o poi tutti i nodi vengono al pettine”.
