Please don't cancel me for saying "Pixi IST" rather than "Pixie SET". I don't know how I missed that 😅

    Just started having a go
With pixieset and looks loads more professional than a Dropbox or we transfer link.
At the moment all images are included to my client, but I want to start limiting it to 15, and letting them buy additional downloads after looking through them. Just figuring it out.

You're right! I used to use things like Google Drive and Drop box to share images for my clients and I found it caused more issues than what it was worth. Years before that, I remember having to use thumbdrives and CDs...I defiantly do not miss those days!

didnt know there was a free version of this so thanks!

For sure! It does have some limitations like storage room and download size. But I’ve always just cycled out Clint galleries every 30 days to make room for new clients.
Depending on the type of work you do, it may not be an issue

hi, fellow photographer here. we recently switched to pixieset and just noticed the upload picture file size is reduced by about 75%. do you see that happening? this is not good for my clients to download digital as they will not get the same quality as actual.

If you subscribe you can choose higher quality. This guy did not know that

A client downloaded all of her pictures without asking, when I was only delivering 30 edited pictures. What do I do?

if you had a contract, take her to court. That's stealing and next time I would suggest not to upload all the photos and send her the link.

Hola, Pixieset gratis comprime la resolución y el peso cuando el cliente descarga sus fotos. ¿Por que sucede esto?.

Are you able to just have a gallery for clients to view and not download?

So Pixieset is only for downloading photos, correct? There are no photo prints on this website or is it until you upgrade to higher levels? I'm trying to find a client gallery website option because Zenfolio is killing me on the transaction and the delivery of the prints. The labs that are partnered with Zenfolio are the ones making the money and not me. I'm looking for a client gallery website for clients to download their photos and skip the printing.

I hate this kind of youtuber who dont know the most important things. Just spitting words without thinking long term.
    1. 3gb is very very very low it will get full with just 2 galleries. You cant make this as your storage gallery
    2. Download quality is low. If you need higher quality you need to subscribe

Let's talk about that. A print quality image can be 6-7mb and you can easily do 11x17 or even 16x20 at that size. Most clients are going to order prints at 4x6, 5x7, and 8x10. So if we do the math on that say at 8mb per file, you're looking at 375 photos that can be uploaded at 3gb. Portrait photography I typically only do between 25-40 photos depending on the package. In that case, I can have 12.5 galleries at a given time. I give my clients 2-4 weeks to obtain their photos before removing them from the gallery, therefore, I constantly have free space moving around.
I will add that you are correct that you cannot download the full res with the free plan, however you can still allow for up to 3600px downloads, which again will work for smaller prints (4x6 up to safely 11x17)
While this video may not work for every use case, it will in fact work for someone who isn't doing a ton of gigs or isn't giving out hundreds of photos. Also, if you prefer, you can use this service for free as a proofing gallery and then deliver the full sized image files another way.
      Have a good day.
