This song is about love at first sight..the feeling of loving someone to the point that they are present in every single breath...he was singing about their first meeting the fond memories they shared, she was from another state, so when her father visit and accepted their love for each other he wanted to go back home prepare for the wedding unfortunately he met with accident and he died, and the girl has to go back to her hometown...this song is about loving someone and then losing them....the pain the hurt... I hope this helps put things into perspective...
it doens't matter to me with who sang it but the only thing I like, is because the song is taking my mom's name. I can listen to it all da day without bieng tired of it. Oh! Thanks to Allah and to da man who sang it.

My question is what part of northern nigeria are from?B'cos i had lived in kano and dutse before moving to the states. Now i live around security square area in baltimore county.
@dalmarqaran they are Nigerians, speaking hausa, the song is actually based on a movie. it is about a guy who is in love with a girl fati, he was telling a story of how they met, and the unfortunate event of the death of her father and she had to go back to her home town...basically thats the main idea.
Thanks Hindatou, Oh Adamawa? I thought he was talking about the ancestral world (Lahira).. What did you mean by the last part of your statement stating that' He lists his family name as Fati"?
No Hindatou, I still haven't got any answer to my question.. Can someone tell me what this music is all about? I am a Ghanaian and understand hausa but not the pure one of the Nigerians. Anyway why is he talking about Fati. Is it a real story that he's acting with in the music? Who is the dead man in the music?
Lol 11 years ago. But Fati is a girl he met in kano, and she is from Yola, Adamawa. His name is Salisu, so he is telling her that he is waiting for her to come to Kano, they met on Saturday during harmattan in the morning, and he loved her at first sight, she was quite, not noise, lol. Later in the sweet relationship, Fati left Kano for Yola, Adamawa State, because her dad died. He no longer sees her, so he sang about missing her, about how he met her, about how his friend, the middle man, won her for him, etc. It is an interesting song, I am from Ghana too, and I understand every single word they mentioned in that song.
