I have listened to 6 cd players on my system via toslink to the same DAC and they all sound different. Usually the soundstage is different between each player and or bass clarity and treble. Any idea what that is? The difference is not small. I enjoy your videos. Thanks
depends on the processing in the player. Initially players were kept simple and only DAC was providing a difference, but when DSP processing kicked in - even on digital output everything got changed. These two players from my video sound very different on COAX output as well.

I have a Nakamichi MB 2s it skips about track 14 or 15 every CD, buy it sounds good!!

Audiofoolery suggest that CD changers are not worth it. Do you think that is true, i.e., CD changers are not worth it ?
