I just stumbled upon your channel. I had a feeding tube placed when I was a newborn and for the longest time, I felt so subconscious about the g tune scar I had after I left the hospital (I spent the first 6 months of my life in the hospital.) So it's refreshing to see that I'm not alone. I haven't had the feeding tube since I was a baby, I just have the scar that looks like a belly button. Just subscribed 😊
I just had a roux en y J tube placed last week and I can't wait to wear my tubie pads from L'amiJoy Boutique when my stoma is healed! Once it gets a bit warmer in NSW and my stoma is ready it'll be time retire the hoodie and model the tubie pads appropriately 👌I also feel like I'm going to get a bit addicted to buying your tubie pads so I'm really hoping that I can restrain myself each launch 😂
I have always wondered why you can't get a button tube right away. Like why do people first have to get the one you originally have? 💜 I have my 6 week NG tube change tomorrow 😖 I hate having to get that thing past my gag reflex.
You got this 💪🏼💚 sending lots of love your way 💖 it sure is a horrible experience 😔 The dangler had to be the first I think because the way it's put in is easyer when you don't have anything else and I believe it is better for healing the wound ☺️
@@AmitysLife thanks hun! Yeah it's really horrible with NG tubes isn't it. Ohh that makes sense with the long dangly tube. A button would be SO much better so I'm really happy for you.
They let you bowl in sandals? You could make a meme about the bottom of your stomach, with Gandalf yelling "You shall not pass!" What's wrong with the people who were in the music room? Must've been the music room joints you mentioned in your previous video. ;)
Hahaha it was weird cos I am used to getting bowling shoes 👟 when you come in but they had none which is weird. It was really slippery so I will have to keep that in mind next time 😂 Haha that's a funny meme Hahaha my friends are a little crazy but in the best kinda way (I am just as crazy 🤣) I believe they were trying to rap 😂
I used to have this problem too when I suffered from pyloric stenosis. I used to have an endoscopy every 2 months & they couldn’t get the scope through every time. Please could you explain the difference between a dangler & a mik-key button? (Sorry, spelt it wrong)
That sounds awful 😞 I am sorry about that 😞 It pretty much is as it sounds, a dangler PEG-J has a long part of the tube dangling out of the hole (I know that sounds gross the way I explained it but it's not I promise 😅) and a button is a small button thing that sits on your stoma hole so it's not long. It kinda looks like the thing on a beach ball you use to blow air into
😊 Thank you so much for watching this video! I am super excited now to go for a surf! What do you recon, should I?
Sounds like fun! Box jellyfish still scare me.
No Box jellyfish in Sydney or NSW for that matter 😂 only at the top of Australia 🦘
@@AmitysLife Then don't catch the waves that go that far north. lol
That Sydney to Darwin ripcurrent is like a Danny Deckchair adventure. :)
@@Dulcimerist hahaha no waves up there. The reef blocks em
the buttons are such a gamechanger! congrats!
Oh my Gosh!!!!! They so are 😅 I couldn't stand that dangler hahaha

@@AmitysLife Australians rapping? No. Just, no.
Given them that message, exactly like that. lol
@@AmitysLife I bowl in my socks and slide all over, and then I look ridiculous after letting go of the ball. I probably look intoxicated.

hey lol love this vlog as usual
Aww thank you lovely 🥰
I swear our bodies just like to Rick Roll our medical teams, lol So, is this new tube quite different from the previous one?
Hahaha yup!!! 😅
This tube is more discreet and doesn't dandle a long way out
