Lussy Lou has some pretty much perfect videos that I think I learned quite a bit from, but yeah, it's nice when you get a real behind the scenes look. I don't think I have ever flown an armor scorp, although I fly a lot of different things, so it's possible.

Turning your shield booster off after every cycle is anxiety inducing to me, seeing how fast it melts
Yeah but this is also a bit of tactic. The shield regens of it's own the fastest if you are around 30% if you maximise the time you are at 30% the less you need to boost. And if you overrep you waste charges even more. And he wants to fight if he would look like it might be close they would lose interest (or drop some caps) and at the and as they noticed they will not kill him they tried it with caps. But they hadn't pointed him.

That was a 2Mil repair job after that fight! Nice battle, really not looking good until you finally popped a logi. The gang was pretty observant and responsive if you ask me. They were quick to pull drones after the 1st SB went off, and they did a great job keeping reps where needed. I'd say you did a great job of bait tanking to keep them around, but I know better. 😉
awesome vid, great to watch. just a shame when i was in null i ended up in cruiser fleets that got hot dropped or on fleets with the loudest most annoying napolean complex fc's ever.
would of been great to be part of fights like this, even if we had lost, looks great fun :)

I set the qwer for the shortcut of the first line and asdf for the shortcut of the second line equipment.

Any reason you never bothered to put neuts on their logi?
Just did not think of it. This was one of my first Marauder fights, and I was spending all my mental cycles managing tank, because they have so much less buffer than dreads. Target management is a mess, I don't neut logi, I don't use the ec-300s on logi, etc. :) That said it was a fun fight and I learned a bunch, would play it very differently a second time around.

Hahaha, I only thought about neuting the logi and dropping the ECM drones on another logi near the end... I know for sure the sound of my heart beating out of my ears would have overwritten those thoughts if it was me in the fight! Great Fight!

Thanks man, very glad you enjoyed. Sadly, CVA does not have an SRP for blingy solo v gang flying. I have a fair amount of ISK, and a couple of folks have supported me by donating stuff that they would like to see blown up or ISK (which I never expect, and always appreciate).

Yeah, they are definitely not mad, I get a lot of encouragement and support, but CVA does not pay for me to fight gangs with blingy battleships.

Super late to this video, but noticing that this was done in 2017 before the Marauder buffs makes this even more impressive. I can't even imagine what this would look like now lol.
I'm sure you can find videos of people flying them, they are (at the risk of stating the obvious) way stronger now, I hardly play and don't really undock the big stuff anymore, but I can make a Golem fit that does more DPS and reps harder then the Nag I used to fly... these 14 dudes would not engage a marauder, you would need a bigger gang, but then everything is the same I think.
No idea how to evaluate what's happening but I suppose everyone involved had fun. And the music is nice, reminded me slightly of original Spyro soundtrack

Part of it is that I knew the group that I was fighting, knew who their allies were, and what the jump ranges were from their staging systems. Part was that caps always get dropped on marauders. Part was just gut feel.

why they dont have ecm & warp ?
When you have bastion up it makes you immune to ECM (including warp disruptors), but of course you can't move. When you take bastion down they have to reapply it.

How many of these things do you loose trying to find a fight like that XD or how do you find fleets to engage.
The engagement is pretty simple, my best outcomes are just waiting for a roaming gang of the right size to be reported, and then go out to meet them (At the start of this one you can see me guess where they are going, and then use the JB network to get ahead of them and "get cuaght"), I have lost two Vargurs career-to-date (zkillboard.com/character/91415469/ship/28665/losses/), one before this fight, and then this one in a later fight which you can see in this video: ruclips.net/video/pGgKyckdJHk/видео.html

Thank you! It's a bit of a comedy of errors. I was keeping an eye on who was in scram range, and so I was pretty positive they could not scram me (since they were sitting outside web range). Of course they can use warp disruptions, but that is what the MJD is for. Bastion gives you eWar immunity, and so you can't be pointed while in bastion. I presume when I came out they would put long points on me, and I was eyeing the range to see if anyone was coming close to see if I had to neut off a scram. As it turned out, they did have warp disruptions, but they tried to use them while I was in bastion, the effect did not take, and they did not attempt to renew them when I came out. I did not notice they had not put them back up, so I MJDed anyway even though I could have just warped. Either way it was a fun fight and I was glad to have an opportunity to do it.

That gang's deaths could have been completely averted if their logi pilots didn't derp and maintained range. Good on you for taking advantage of their mistakes! Some of these null alliances are utter shitshows lol. The fact that they also commit a drop without someone spamming tackle waiting for that bastion to drop is a total fail on that gang's FC.

why u like to overheat shield rep?
It makes it rep for more, and the ancils can take a ton of heat.
As a player who gets next to no good pvp practice (See: being ganked by an alteros in a venture) Watching your videos is really helpful for learning how to pvp things. Would you be willing to explain when/why I want to overload modules, and the effect it has?
Overloading mods give you more of whatever that mod does. Weapons gives more damage, tank mods give more tank, web and point increase the range. Neuts cycle faster.

Because when I had this fight I was a noob :) I got so focused on the tank management (First time doing double ancil) that I was struggling to track what was going on with targets until they got to range.

why never focus the scythes ?
Just bad decision making. I have a lot more experience in a HAW Dread than a Marauder and I did not expect the logi to be able to hold them. Of course when you have like 800 DPS instead of 3200 DPS it's a very different story. By the time I realized I needed to be on the logi, they had respositioned out of range. In retrospect a combination of neuts and jam drones might have done the trick. As it was my lucky break was when one of them made a piloting error and came to close, and by that time I realized I could not break them through 4x logi reps.
After, it's easier to see that on your video than during a fight ,). well done for your escape
tell me if I am wrong, I feel like you could have used the smartbomb more often
