The French girl cried nervously certainly because she suddenly became the center of attention of a whole stadium which she was not prepared for. Not to say the other girl didn't, but that's not the point. And the Aussie girl didn't get hit in the face, she got hit in the visor of her cap. Had she been hit in the face, she would have had a mark on the face and would have cried almost surely. But I won't ask you to show intelligence.

If the players took twenty seconds to check on the welfare of the poor RG ball girl the way Rafa did here, she doesn't have a panic attack and it doesn't escalate to the circus that it is now. Instead, they immediately went full Karen and called for repercussions without ever checking on the girl once.
Also, I saw the entire 20 minute sequence. Tennis players pass to ball kids after play all the time (particularly during change of serve). Kato didn't notice the ball girl wasn't ready to receive. That was the extent of the whole thing. From that simple sequence, SST and Bouzkova complained about "intent" and "blood" (of which I still cannot find any sign of that at all).
Grounds for ejection? I'd object but there is precedent. Losing her women's doubles winnings from this tournament is ludicrous, made more ludicrous by Miyu Kato still being in mixed doubles.
