- Hello! I'm Tina, I run 'Made with April' with my dog, April! Come with me to my first official artist alley! If you saw my last video, I actually got rejected from this show, but was able to attend due to a super last minute opening! I'm not sure if they had a cancellation or found some space for some extra tables, but I had the opportunity to attend and it was an amazing (chaotic) experience!
I met so many new people, was panicked the entire time, did art trades, and enjoyed a fun chaotic weekend. It was definitely not what I was expecting for my first time at artist alley, but I am excited to do it again!

I just...love your videos because I can relate to SO much of what you're feeling and those random thoughts and yeah. I love how real your vlogs are. Also, girl, crochet yourself a fidget keychain (mushy pops, flower pops, jelly pops) to mess around with...although the tape ball was cool hahaha.
HAHA I'M ALL OVER THE PLACE IN THESE SITUATIONS, also omg idk if its just the tiktok algo or if my phone has been listening to me but I've been seeing videos of all these crochet fidget toys and I 100% need to make one bahaha
Hi! One of my friends has bought one of your sproutling hair pins at your booth. Your stuff is really nice! I was visiting Edmonton on vacation, and I'm also a part of artist alley who has been doing AA for a couple of years. I can totally relate being super stressed and anxious about AA; especially the 3 day event ones! (I've done fan expo/comic con Toronto twice, it can be rough lol!) I would say if you plan to do bigger events, having a booth assistant helps relive a lot of the stress and anxiety, because they can help with the boredom or anxiety during slow periods, or when you need to eat, or you forget something.
For example, I once got super burnt out from doing commissions + sales/selling at the same time (solo). Even if an event is slow, I still refuse to do commissions because then I would not be able to focus, then I worry, etc and I end up not eating properly or forget to take care of myself. I think just understanding your own limits and acknowledging them is good for if you want to do these long term. And then next time when you try again next year, you'll know what to do, or improve upon them. Goodluck, and don't give up! :D

You're totally right about forgetting to take care of yourself haha I definitely did that the whole weekend and then passed out for like a whole day after hahaha

Any last minute acceptance to a con will always be stressful but I hope it was worth it for you! (if it is too stressful, preparation is key. if not at least you tried it!)
To be honest I wasn't sure if it was really worth it because I was so stressed haha but I think it's a one time scenario and next year will be better!

Thank you!! ahhh yeah I was pretty lucky I had a lot of stock ready to go!! I've been pushing myself to keep making stuff even if sales at markets are low recently and it came in handy.

You should take stuff to crochet while it's slow. You could have made more clips if you sold out. I would be nervous too.
I usually do! Unfortunately it was a really last minute call and I completely forgot all my crochet items in a bag (near the front door too gah). Stuff like the clips are hard to make because I don't have a power source for my glue gun but definitely something to consider for next time!
Does your camera have image stabilization? Because when you walk and record the image wobbles

I've watched most of your market vlogs now and you're becoming increasingly more and more negative and anxious its unbearable to watch.someone struggle so much and be so defeated 😢
Sometimes the things we love & really want to do, we just aren't cut out for, maybe markets are this way for you.
Not saying this to be mean spirited but more in a tough love way. Maybe find another way to sell or a different career as all this stress etc will take its toll on your health (mental and physical) in the long run.✌💟
Ahh, thank you for looking out for me! I've always been a pretty anxious person, but as I made more videos, I have become more comfortable sharing these feelings!
I also do a lot of markets that I don't film, and I am very comfortable with! I tend to only vlog my new experiences so I can show people new things, and it just coincides with all the more anxiety inducing things, hahaha
If you watch my at home videos I'm much more relaxed!! But thank you for your concerns 🩷🩷
Totally can relate to all your feels - oh my - you are doing this and it is so surreal all this last minute 😊 eager to see what you come up with - I watch @lionaroundsewing and she does cons regularly and sews fleece plushies and hats - really creative as well as @hibiscusstitch - very eye opening world of fur cons and my little pony cons 😮😊 they pay crazy money for stuff 😂😂
