If you analyze the lyrics; the story is that of one half of a couple lamenting first about how after breaking up, they still don’t hate their once significant other but in the third stanza, you notice the word becomes hate but it’s after they have realized that they still have feelings for that person. Why hate and why flowers that have not wilted and forever. It’s cos that other person had passed away and hence the fresh and forever unwilting flowers placed by their side. So it’s actually a really sad song. It’s a Japanese way of expressing love so painful it becomes something akin to hate; hating that person for leaving forever just when feelings of love had begun to blossom again.
