You might try cleaning the lining using foam carpet cleaner. I also use dryer sheets or even sachet bags to help improve the funk. Keep us posted, please, as you fight the good fight against the funk! 😍

I agree with Mirella, I have gotten 4 stinky bags from TRR and I read that sunlight and fresh air kills the smell, mold, etc. It definitely works, I just made sure it was open to air out and I even let the sunshine hit the vachetta (didn’t darken it) also to make sure if it had mold it would kill it, it was a mothball like musty mildew smell. The charcoal never worked for me.
The methods you used seem to have worked for the most part. More time with charcoal packs should do the trick hopefully. Perhaps if you have to use baking soda in the future, try using the refrigerator boxed ones that has ventilation but keeps the powder in the box. Thanks for sharing, Dee Dee.
