I'm loving this series! Just curious, is this bedrock? I'm asking because I have Java and I made a world in 1.0 and it's different. For example, my food stacks. Thanks! ❤

Minecraft bedrock is actually a development of the Pocket Edition! And that version wouldn't come out until a year after the version in the video.
You are most likely playing on RELEASE 1.0 if you're using the minecraft launcher.
Minecraft has development Versions
-Pre-Classic
-Classic
-Indev
-Infdev
-Alpha (the Versions I'm on)
-Beta
-Release
Alpha. Beta. And release share version numbers. There is a Alpha, Beta, and release Version 1.0
In the launcher settings there is an option to show historical versions. But the versions in the Minecraft launcher are riddled with bugs.
I highly recommend downloading the Betacraft launcher and using that. Because not only does it let you play every publicly available version from the VERY first Minecraft Version. But it also fixes bugs and let's you use skins for example

damn this is old, no nether, no sneaking, no sprinting, not really anything
wow. ive been playing since classic. This alpha version really had a lot of soul. Thx for bringing this experience back. Everything had a unique weight to it.. The pork chops dropping from the pigs feels both light and heavy at the same time.. Haha.
When you exited the caving, and the stars slowly faded away, I was so fully immersed.
Notch really had a magic touch. Great
