So cool! I’ve used Bitwig 1.3 since 2015, just never had the spare cash to upgrade. Just today finally activated 4.4! A whole new world just opened up for me 🤘 I love bitwig, man.
Thanks for this! I think your dislike (or least-like :) ) of Freq Split stems from the fact you're trying to use it with 1024 splits. Actually it works best with single-digit number of splits, when you can make your choices much more premeditated & deliberate, because then you're targeting the processing at specific parts of the sound, rather than at random mush of segments. Notice that when you have say 8 splits, then 1 & 5 go to slot 1, 2 & 6 go to slot 2, etc. When working with fewer splits it's basically a cleaner Multiband FX with more control on steroids.
Freq split is THE second best spectral plugin from the suite behind transient split. Only use 4-6 bands. Not so many of them. And modulate the effects on each compartment. Not the nudge and tilt etc. But yes it's best for pad like sounds. So I get might not be for your sound

There was modulation on both:)
I really need to find more free time to experiment a lot with these. I even want to try and use the Transient Split for drum mixing.
In theory tossing a clipper on the transients should lead to a cleaner and fatter sausage but I have yet to test that stuff too
@@Alckemy The only thing I've used transient splitting (with SplitEQ tho) is EQing heavy bleeding live drums and it works nicely
Wow Alckemy this is such an awesome video I love it.😃👍❤️
How did you theme Bitwig?
Just turn the saturation and contrast down:)
fl user here, do any of the spectral devices have latency?
they all do but once you get it to audio it won’t matter.
Nope, i'm first!
