Hey Code Coach. Here's the million dollar question. When using NMb cable, which is rated for 90 degrees but limited to 60 degrees, what size wire is used for a 48 amp continuous load?
Great question! If there are no ambient temperature corrections or bundling adjustments you're just going to choose from the 60. You would take your 48 amp load and multiply it by 1.25 And then go find a wire that covers the new known load of 60 amps. The correct answer is #4 if using NM cable
