Never in my lifetime did I think I'd be able to see Chevy come out with a Corvette that is in the hypercar class. This is absolutely glorious. This thing is going to be an absolute beast and a force to be reckoned with. Can only imagine the modifications people are going to do to this car to make it faster and more powerful.

1250hp Corvette from the factory is wild. I remember when the C6 ZR1 came out and had 600+hp was insane.
That car, c6 zr1 was getting down to 65-69k used with low miles before Covid… now a c6 zr1 is 89-99k and it’s 5 more years older too.
When the C4 ZR1 dropped, they were spanking Ferrari Testarossa’s back in the early 90s.
Keep in mind a Testarossa was 200,00$ vs. the ZR1 at around 60k give or take.
Look up GM engineer crashes corvette on test track.
Yeah and the C6 ZR1 is still one of the baddest corvettes ever made too.....with 600+HP.......can't even imagine what the ZR1x can and will do on the road/track

My Grandfather owned a Corvette. My father loved Corvette. My Grandfather died 7 months before i was born and the car was sold. My father died last June 27th. June 28th is my birthday. And seeing this is truly, TRULY a spectacle of how far this car has come. Seeing this right before my birthday warms my heart to the significance Corvette has had in my family. Corvette was the first car i grew to love. I am named after my grandfather, and one day i hope to have my own Corvette.

These multi-billion dollar companies like Chevrolet have entire market research divisions that analyze real data. I'm sure Chevrolet did their research and didn't make this decision lightly.

I recently fell in love with the Corvette. Growing up, I wasn't really that much into cars. Motorcycles was more my thing. But there was always two types of supercars that I had a bit of a connection with, one being the Lamborghini Countach and one being the Corvette. Specifically because one of my dad's colleagues owned one. A champagne gold one. I am unable to tell you what year but it's nose was very long, it had a targa roof etc etc. Anyway, my life has been changing a lot. I am also doing financially quite well as a result of dedicating a lot of time into growing a business. My dad isn't among us anymore, but I have now set a path to acquiring either a C7 or C8 in red. A color which I learned after his passing that was his favorite (don't judge me, my father wasn't particularly talkative). Not sure why I am writing all this, but hey, Chevrolet, just wanted to let you know that these products are not just products, although your management I am sure often will make you feel otherwise. I hope that you guys are proud that you are able to work on machines like these that can make such an impact on people. Once I acquire mine, you wouldn't believe what it all will mean to me.

There are so many Corvettes in Miami now. They are everywhere. These must be the best sold Corvettes by far. This model takes it up a serious notch
Corvette is making every other hypercar, sports car and exotic super car look like they are sedans. The C8 platform that the Corvette division has now is one of, if not the greatest cars in the world. The best thing is they don't cost more than a house.

Wow it’s already here so soon after ZR1, was expecting ZORA, but maybe that is still even a step further.
Was surprised they started this marketing push for the next variant before they sell the ZR1.
I have been waiting for this vehicle for over five years with the general layout of this version leaked online before the C8 was even on sale. And it certainly hasn't disappointed with the performance and specifications astounding especially when coming from an American manufacturer like Chevrolet.
If they can keep the build quality at the level expected of a Hypercar they will have another C8 Corvette winner on their hands.

C8 generation made me a Corvette fan. Can't decide between Zr1 and Zr1X though. As a blue-collar worker, thanks GM for making these cars "attainable" for the levels of performance and I look forward to tracking either supercar/hypercar.
i get the arguments for not using the name for the ZR1X, but i'd like to see a "Zora edition" as a final sendoff for the C8 generation. i don't mind ZR1X; however, from a marketing standpoint it would slightly devalue ZR1 as your top tier if you release the ZR1 and then soon after announce something with a new name with higher performance. they could’ve called it the “ZR1 Zora” and maintained ZR1 as the highest tier

The elevtric motors on the front axel will have more hp than the eray as well. Would be cool if they released an upgrade for the eray to bring its front electric motors to match the zr1x

@@DoWorkNP It's not about 'taking it to them' - it's about the design and feel being related. i.e. It feels like all sports, no muscle. I'm not complaining about the general performance. For example (and I'm not saying I like it, but just an example) the new Mustang GTD is still a sports muscle car mix, but is attempting to compete with the Germans, not just 'being one of them'.
